Sorted newest-first, the ratings decline as you read up. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.3 stars.
The split is 21 positive to 4 negative across 25 rated reviews. Conspicuously absent: freshness and temperature, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 21 of the 25 reviewers who rated.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (87/100), citing 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 2 basic violations. That inspection was on December 5, 2025. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 31% of graded kitchens in Brevard County. WOW! Some of the best Mexican and Cuban Food in Brevard County. Our server Maria was amazing and made great recommendations. We can't wait to come back.

Food presentation was one out of five....food taste was two out of five. Although we live in the area We will not return. It's disappointing because the atmosphere and the services is pretty good.

They want $14 for 2 tacos, I will never eat there again! Tacos only nothing else?

Any time my husband and I have been here has been an amazing experience with great food and wonderful people. Maria is so attentive and sweet, she made sure we didn't want for anything and took excellent care of our young daughters.

My first time eating here. Maria was the best! She recommended my husband and I dishes that were amazing. She was very kind. Because of her we will be returning.!.

Maria took such good care of us! 10/10 service. The food was great, environment was inviting and welcoming. The food was outstanding though we probably wouldn’t get the steak again (was a little tough for us). We’ll definitely be back. Thank you!

We first tried out this place six years ago during our honeymoon. Six years later we revisited this place and it was as great as the first time. I ordered the ropa vieja dish. Slowed roasted roast served with beans, rice and plantains. I finished every bite. The roast was tender and well seasoned. It was great to see this restaurant still operating and still serving great food. Hope to visit again soon!

-
Maria was the best waitress! Food was fantastic especially the guacamole and the pozole. The place couldn’t have been better decorated and set up either. Best Mexican food in Cocoa.

Chaparral is a very authentic Mexican and Cuban style restaurant. The inside is really nice and comfortable. They have a bar/ lounge area and a dining room restaurant. The people are friendly and welcoming. They have lots of parking space because it is a good size restaurant. They also have to go orders and I really like their Taco Tuesday specials. The place is clean and a really nice atmosphere.

Thank you, Tonya, for helping to make our dining experience so great! Your suggestion of the 5 layer queso dip was great as an appetizer.
-
Delicious food, the shrimp tacos, the guacomole, the yellow rice and the al pastor tacos. The Pina margarita was AMAZING. TONYA our server was very helpful and gave amazing recommendations for what to order. Will 100% be coming back another day to try the fajitas, carne asada and other margaritas. Loved this restaurant!!!!!!
-
Service was ok but the food was not good at all. I got carnitas tacos with rice and beans. The carnitas had little to no flavor but the refried beans were absolutely disgusting I mean really bad. Everything tasted like not much effort was put into it and service was just ok.
-
Great food and atmosphere Maria was Great Great Mohito too
