⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Resort That Gets Hospitality Right As a Level 8 Local Guide, I’ve stayed at a lot of hotels over the years, and I try to leave honest reviews that recognize places doing things the right way. The Shores Resort & Spa definitely deserves one. From the moment we arrived, the experience started off on the right foot. We were able to check in about an hour early because our room was already ready, which meant we could drop our bags and get straight to enjoying the beach. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of champagne, our son was given a small beach ball (a simple gesture that meant a lot), and everyone greeted us with genuine smiles. Just a heads up—they do collect a $200 incidental deposit, which covers things like your resort fee, parking (self or valet), and any other charges during your stay. We booked the Cabana King Poolside Room, and if you’re planning on spending your vacation outside, this is absolutely the room to get. Walking out your private patio and being just steps from the pool and only seconds from the beach is hard to beat. Was the room itself the newest or most modern? No, it’s a little dated. But honestly… who cares? If you’re booking this room, you’re not coming here to sit inside watching TV. You’re here for the pool, the beach, and the ocean. Fabulous overnight stay. Room was spacious and very clean. Great amenities. The beach was beautiful to take a long walk. Was also able to se a launch from Cape Carnivral. Lobby was large and had a nice little store where you can get Starbucks and food. Also an ice cream shop that served soft ice cream. Definitely would return.

I come here every year for my birthday in June but they’ve honestly made so many changes I’m going to have to find a new place to stay

I was at a dinner/theater event. It was well run, Very entertaining and the food served was good. While I didn't stay at the hotel this time I have stayed here in the past. The rooms are very nice, anemities are well appreciated and the service great.

Amazing place to stay. Will stay again. From the fragrance in the lobby, to the valet, and spacious, clean rooms. Access to the beach and the other hotel amenities are top notch and family friendly.

Absolutely love this resort ! Great pool area with live music and a nice Tiki bar. My only caveat is it is very expensive. I still give a 5 star review because the resort lives up to everything you could want, but at a price. It is ridiculous to pay this much for a room and hit me with a $40 valet parking or $35 self parking. The drinks are very overpriced but they do make great drinks. So I paid the money and we enjoyed ourselves !

We recently stayed at The Shores Resort & Spa and overall had an enjoyable experience, with some minor disappointments. The biggest surprise was how upscale and welcoming the property felt inside. The lobby is beautiful, with elegant lighting, a candy shop, and a small market that gave the hotel a unique personality. The entire property smelled exceptionally clean, and the hallways always had a pleasant scent. Rather than feeling like a sterile hotel, it felt warm and comfortable—more like a home away from home. Our room was extremely spacious, and the mini fridge stayed impressively cold. We also loved having a balcony with a wonderful ocean view. The pool deck was attractive and well-maintained, and the tiki bar staying open later in the evening was a nice touch, even though we didn’t personally use it. The downstairs restaurant and bar also looked very nice. There were a few drawbacks. The air conditioning never quite got as cold as we would have liked, and with no ceiling fan in the room, we ended up purchasing a box fan during our stay. The television also felt too small for the distance between the bed and TV stand, making it difficult to comfortably play our Nintendo Switch. The fire pits around the pool were a great feature when available, but they weren’t always operating, and it was often difficult to find an open spot. We also noticed guests frequently leaving used pool towels around the deck. As a couple traveling without children, the pool area was a bit busier…

Amazing room out onto the pool and beach! Great easy access to the ocean! Housekeeping daily was great! Would recommend the rooms with the lanai for an even better experience!

We stayed at The Shore Resort for the first time after seeing it advertised on Instagram, and the reality didn't match the marketing. We booked a "King Cabana Suite," but it's a standard hotel room, not a suite. The bigger issue is that the cabana rooms are not equal, and you don't get to choose. About five of them open directly onto the pool with a deep porch, a padded sectional sofa, and a couple of loungers — exactly what you'd want when traveling with young kids you can watch from your porch. We got Room 101, tucked at the far end of the property. Our porch faces nothing but another rentable cabana, so other guests looked straight into our room with zero privacy. Instead of a sectional we had a tiny love seat that barely seats two and no loungers at all. We ended up dragging loungers over from the pool deck ourselves and then having to shoo other guests off our "private" porch. At check-in I asked if anything else was available and was told no — and that I wasn't the first guest to complain, but that ownership wasn't doing anything about it. We told the front desk at check-in we had more than two people, but no one mentioned that the pull-out sofa bed would be a problem. It's easily 20+ years old, with a thin (maybe 4-inch) mattress that's stained and has terrible exposed coils — we honestly looked at ordering an air mattress from Amazon. This is a beautiful old time Florida resort. Rooms are dated but charming and retro.They are in the process of renovating. The outdoor ocean front area is filled with seating areas and fire pit features. Tiki bar and Hot tub. The service was just great. The down side was the parking. Even though I self parked across the street for 17 dollars, the was another fee called overtime parking fee as well as a 35 resort fee. All this added another 70 dollars to the one night stay

We stayed because we had our home sewage issues taken care of. A bit disappointed no menus or booklet in the room regarding g room service. Bed very comfortable. Clean but obviously all very dated. Towels were very scratchy. Great balcony. Front desk and valet very friendly!

I had the pleasure of a two night stay in this place. Arrived the first day. Parked my car across the street in the lot that they charge you $35 per day to use , only to be locked in , and had to pay another $19 to get my car back out of the lot. They promised Champagne at the front desk that I never saw. They had smores by the firepit that never happened. This place is so strategically designed to take your money that I couldn't even find a drink machine on the premises. I was also charged a $153.32 for a resort fee that no one there can explain. It was bad enough to spend two days with them trying to get my room key to work and actually work the parking gate at the same time. You don't want to be a night owl there because everything in the building closes before 7 p.m. Never got my parking money back, nor my deposit.. WHAT A RIP OFF!!!! Have made a few attempts to call a manager, only to get a voicemail. Not sure that he/she even exists.

I recently booked a stay at The Shores Resort & Spa to celebrate a special occasion with my wife, specifically selecting this property for its large balconies and their romantic "Yes" moment package. While the hotel has great potential, the execution was a compounding series of disappointments that completely ruined the surprise I had planned.||The Positives||To be fair, the stay started on a positive note. Upon our initial arrival, the parking attendant and front desk staff were incredibly friendly, and the lobby boasts a classic elegance. We also genuinely enjoyed the proximity to the beach, the large balcony space, and the fireside s'mores in the evening.||||The Breakdowns & Disappointments|| **The Failed Romantic Package:** ||I booked a specific package meant to include chocolate-covered strawberries, champagne, roses, and a $25 daily resort credit. When we walked into the room, there was absolutely nothing there. When I went to the front desk, I was told there was no daily credit on our booking, but they promised to send the rest up. The strawberries and champagne arrived quickly, but the flowers were missing. After texting the hotel's customer service number, I was initially told flowers weren't even part of the package. They finally backtracked, admitting they *were* included but simply weren't available, and offered to refund the package price. The entire surprise I wanted to provide for my wife was completely doused.||||**Room Cleanliness & Maintenance:** ||We knew…

​I am usually not one to write terrible reviews, but our stay at The Shores Resort & Spa was completely unacceptable. For a resort that markets itself as a premium oceanfront destination, the lack of basic cleanliness and maintenance was shocking.||​The issues started right in our room:||​The Bedding: To our absolute horror, there were literal blood stains on the blanket. It makes you question whether the linens were even washed before we checked in.||​The Furniture: The living area was completely rundown. The couch was old, sagging, and covered in mystery stains, while the ottoman was totally ratty and torn up at the corners. It looked like it belonged on a curb, not in a resort room.||​The Balcony: We were looking forward to enjoying the ocean views, but the outside cushions were completely covered in bird poop and clearly hadn't been cleaned or swapped out in ages.||​The lack of housekeeping standards and attention to detail is appalling. A nice view cannot make up for a room that feels genuinely unsanitary. We will absolutely not be returning. Do yourself a favor and book elsewhere!

The photographer Esdras that we had for our family pictures was wonderful and I would recommend him for anyone wanting to do beach photos.

Out of the way hotel with unique charm. Friendly staff, great amenities and comfortable rooms. Well equipped inside and pool deck bars, breakfast buffet, and easy access to the beach. Highly recommend

Amazing resort, beautiful property and rooms with a great pool/ beach patio. Staff was great, they gave our smores kits at night to make over the open fire places on the patio. Highly recommend

I came here for the Tiki bar and it’s not open. They said weather was bad and it’s barely overcast, not anything wrong with weather. Sunny and 75! Multiple people said where is bartender and they just blow us off…even manager. They still have live music!

We had our wedding at the Shores in May 2026, Donna and the entire team at the Shores, including valet parking ,front desk, housekeeping, bartenders, tiki bar restaurant everything was amazing. It was top-notch they welcomed our guest with huge smiles said happy wedding day. We spent the weekend enjoying the pool, the beach and the restaurant, the food was incredible . Being from NJ we had a lot of food critics attending our wedding that had nothing but praise for the Shores ! The wedding was amazing Donna Crane made sure everything was done down to the smallest detail . We had a Miami Vice theme that she made sure every detail was perfect. If you’re looking at wedding venues this beautiful boutique first class establishment is exactly what you’re looking for. We cannot wait to go back.

Donna, along with the banquet and setup teams, went above and beyond to ensure every detail was handled professionally and efficiently.
