Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
No clear consensus emerges from these 23 reviews. Front-of-house cuts both ways here, averaging 3.9 among the reviews that raise it.
Of the 23 rated reviews, 17 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below. Behind those, speed of service is raised in 17% of reviews (3.5 average). The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (13 of 23).
The kitchen graded a C (74/100) on 2 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 7 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. The visit behind that grade was February 12, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. Ranked against Volusia County, it is safer than 18% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited cross-contamination and employee health knowledge.
This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Changing my original raving review. ****** changing my review. I really love this place but last night something terrible happened. My family who I haven't seen in the long while was in town to visit and they wanted to eat at a local pizza place. Of course I chose Tony's and we ordered pickup of a 10-inch pizza and a 14-inch pizza and an order of meatballs. We went to pick it up and somehow our order had been given to another customer. We then had to wait for a different order . This order was to feed five grown adults. Not really noticing, we came home with two 10-in pizzas and a meatball. We had been at a ballpark for a softball tournament all day and we're starved and we realized this was not the correct order so I called to speak with someone. I was transferred two different times to three different people. Last person was supposedly the manager. He was immensely rude, did not offer any solutions other than making the correct pizza again and not wanting to compensate for the error. He said we paid for what we got we left with the pizza and ate it. He wanted us to bring the small pizza back so he could donate it to the homeless. How rich. While I appreciate feeding the homeless, he offered no real customer service solutions. It was the rudest customer service transaction I've had in a long while. This from supposedly a manager or an owner. He offered to make the correct pizza but for half price. We would have had to leave after again being at a ballpark out in the hot sun…

Chicken parm was burned and covered up with sauce and cheese. Salad was poor and the bread was hard and old. Waiting too long for it to be that poorly made. It probably is better as a pizza place-but at these prices there should be some quality in the food preparation. Quantity is good. Service was friendly. Food was very salty and sauce is incredibly potent. Disappointed.

Everything we have tried was great

This is single handedly the best slice of pizza I've ever had. I went in for a quick slice on my lunch break and they not only get the slice out quick but it would feel like a shame to eat anywhere else other than here now. For $5 this is the best place I've ever gone.

The food was ok service.
-
Becoming my number 1 Favorite Pizza place. Their lunch specials are amazing. Can’t beat $7.99 for a slice of pizza, soda and a salad.
-
Chicken picatta was skimpy and not alot of flavor. Pizza was ok, crust not even and lacked cheese. Buffalo chicken wings were 5 stars delish

Staff was friendly. Service was quick. My son had lasagna which was undercooked. I had a cheesesteak that was overcooked. Neither of us could eat it. Paid and left.

Air conditioner doesn't work well, sweltering hot in May, great food though

Where’s the beef ? Not much going on here . It was bland. No flavor and definitely not enough steak . If it weren’t for the onions and peppers I would have had to order a second one . Well we didn’t eat it all anyway but also the lunch cheese pizza slice came out and looked like it had been sitting around outback somewhere . I ordered also a slice of stuffed for me and that came with a side of marinara . Maybe give that with the slice of cheese next time because there was almost no sauce on that one . However on a good note the stuffed slice of pizza was great and needed no sauce . Also I definitely would suggest a little remodeling the bathrooms are disgustingly gross ! I’d have to say if you’re going to claim NY Style pizza have pride in your food and don’t serve that to customers .

As a New Yorker, I can honestly day that these people knocked it out of the ballpark!!! Absolutely delicious food and the pizza was an point! Crunchy crust and so tasty! The service was amazing and the atmosphere was beautiful!! We will definitely be back!!!

We had such a good experience at Tony's. The food was *chef's kiss* good. Tianna was the nicest server. The atmosphere was clean and well taken care of.

Love ❤️. Food is great and so is the staff.
-
Great pizza or lunch or dinner.
-
Nice little cozy pizza place right next to the theater.
-
Finest NY pizza in all of Volusia!!!! Taking a star off because I do find ridiculous that they can't afford to-go cups. So if you end up having to leave suddenly, better chug that soda down.
-
Food was good but bathrooms were filthy and the entrance to the kitchen looked horrible so I can’t imagine what goes on in the food prep area. Disgusting!
-
Food very good and the service as well. My biggest concern is the restroom, very bad shape. Very dirty and broken stuff. Needs desperately to be clean and update. I can’t imagine the kitchen where we can’t see anything.
