Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Whatever the overall score says, the last stretch of reviews is the weaker one. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.7 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it.
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 10 of 19. Of the 19 rated reviews, 12 sit at four stars or better and 7 at two or below. What nobody raises here is whether it is worth the money — it goes unmentioned across all 19 reviews.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a C (76/100), citing 3 high-priority violations. That result dates from June 1, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 7% of graded kitchens in St. Lucie County. What the inspector actually wrote up: food from approved source and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

Just left there like 20 mins ago and cashier said damn under his breath in front of my kids at that. Not a place to take kids. Then in a rude voice was like I'll be with you in a minute. This place deserve a zero star. But that can't be done. I advise people with kids to stay away.

My first impression was that the cashier DIDN'T WANT TO SERVE US; he muttered "damn" when we said there were eight of us (a family).

Walked in the guy at the register said damn in front of me and was rude. I'm a kid by the way.

After an AA meeting we all went to sweeties. Everyone had the best time and the food was awesome.

Always have yummy food! We LOVE when Colleen is there to serve us, she's extremely friendly and remembers our usual order lol... The others servers are friendly as well. The food is always on point 💛😋

Server and cashier, Ron, did an excellent job all around.

gross, food was too sweet, and there was a roach on my table.

Hot chocolate was delicious. Wife loved her grilled cheese. My sweeties benedict was a nice spin on the traditional eggs benedict and came out fantastic. Waiter was fantastic. Love the atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back.

Maybe others like the food here, but I won't go back.

Yum yum yum !!!😋 Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Every time we go it is allways so good.

My grandma took us here when we were visiting. Posting here for her: "I've eaten better food from a old can we'd rationed after your pop-pop got back from Vietnam"

I'm only rating the food 3/5 due to what I find is a lack of seasonings. I do realize that taste preferences differ but I expect at least salt and pepper on eggs and salt, pepper and butter in grits. The waitress was super sweet! The pricing was a little too high for the small serving sizes I recieved along with what seemed to be a complete absence of seasoning. The food was presented well on the plates and the temperatures were perfect. I was also impressed with the service time given that they were busy. My absolute favorite part of the visit was reading the signs!!! I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

I got my breakfast to go. Eggs could've been cooked a little longer but they did give you the option to order them scrambled well... I've never had to before. Hospital biscuits and gravy 🤮

If you know, you KNOW. Sweeties Diner is the kind of place that keeps Fort Pierce fun, fed, and laughing. The portions? Let’s just say you might need a to-go box and a nap. The food? Straight-up comfort done right—hot, hearty, and hits the spot every time. But let’s talk about that SIGN… 😂 Bold, hilarious, a little spicy—and honestly half the reason to drive by. It gives this place so much personality before you even walk in. Inside, it’s got that classic local diner feel where you can actually relax, enjoy your meal, and not feel rushed out the door. Good food, good vibes, and a whole lot of character. What really stands out though is the heart behind this place. They help feed the homeless and even ask customers to round up to support local schools—THAT is how you build a community. ❤️ As someone who runs a local nonprofit (AVet Career Solutions), I LOVE seeing businesses that give back like this. I’d love to connect and support each other—places like this are what make our area special. 💙
