Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This listing's ratings cluster at the two ends of the scale. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.1, so it reads as a strength.
One subject never comes up here: plate size. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (12 reviews). Older reviews score better than newer ones (4.0 recent against 4.4 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (73/100) with 3 high-priority and 3 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. DBPR last walked in on May 7, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 20% of the Lake County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include food from approved source and dishwashing facilities.
This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. Everything above is computed from the 17 reviews reproduced below.

Our server was amazing. A Navy man. 🫡👍🏻😁🇺🇸

Good service but my steak was tough and really hard to cut even with that sharp Longhorn steak knife. Also the 'Loaded' Baked Potato was anything but. It had a little cheese, a.sprinkling of green onions, a sprinkling of bacon bits and very little butter. I even asked the server for more butter as the potato was very dry. I am not in a hurry to go back. Next time I am in the area I will give Texas Roadhouse a try. Our meal cost $101.00 for 3 people.

Me and my family got food poisoning We are not happy

Great friendly service with great quality food.

When Longhorn is running right, everything here is fantastic. When it isn't, it can be frustrating. Generally the food is five star (for the price), but on a couple occasions we have gotten cold fries or other sloppy kitchen issues. The wings may be the best sleeper hit on the menu. Service is good most of the time but occasionally it can be downright bad. This is particularly true if you are seated at a table in the bar section as they often have the bar tender also run orders and check tables. If it is mildly busy, you may experience some long waits and empty beverages for the entirety of the meal. This is probably a three star location but I am a fan since the experience often goes great. That said, Chilis has better cheaper burgers, frankly a better sirloin (yes Chilis has a shockingly good sirloin) and always better service. All your other steak needs, hope you get a good experience at this Longhorn.

7 of us ladies were there today celebrating our friend’s bday and the manager made her feel so very special. The waitress Faith was so sweet and kind. What a great day we had there. Excited to go back again soon.

Very poor service

My family and I visited the Lady Lake location last Sunday. Hayley was our server and she was amazing! Very accommodating, friendly, and menu knowledgeable. Great addition to your staff, you have a good one! Cant wait to return for the delicious half rack ribs, honey brussel sprouts, and Mac and cheese! This very last time I went, the sprouts were a tad over cooked but the manager (wish I could remember his name), was extremely nice and gladly remade them. Great restaurant!

We specifically asked the server, Ebony, to hold off taking our order until our appetizer came. Good call, because the rest of the meal came out fast. Salads were served and before some of us even started them the rest of the meals came out. Poor timing. As for the meals, one had to go back because it was not cooked as requested, another with shrimp was also under cooked. Two chicken tenders meals seemed to be reheated and stringy. Far from tender. We are locals, not snowbirds who used to dine frequently at Longhorn. No more. Better across the street at Texas Roadhouse.

Will not be going to Longhorns again. Sent their 6oz victory filet back because it was half inch thick tasted like sirloin and was full of grissle. They served up the same as a replacment. My son ordered their porterhouse. It was maybe half an inch thick. $40 for a half inch porterhouse.
