Stacy is a sweetheart. Thank you. And the food was good portions and delicious. Prices are great and the quiet afternoon during a thunderstorm was awesome. Thank you, Shells.

Terrible service and atrocious food—quality has completely tanked. My family came from out of town to celebrate Father's Day, and I recommended this restaurant because I remembered it being a great spot a few years back. It was incredibly embarrassing to bring them here; the restaurant completely failed to represent the area well and ruined our holiday dinner. This place is certainly not what it used to be. The Service: We were a party of three. When our appetizers arrived, they only brought two small plates. Our server was nowhere to be found, so we asked a passing staff member for a third plate. She promised to bring one and completely vanished. After waiting, my father literally had to get up and hunt down a plate himself on Father's Day. While the staff wasn't explicitly unfriendly, they certainly weren't warm or attentive either—the waitress came over to take our order and never even bothered to say "Happy Father's Day" to him. At the end of the meal, she simply dropped the check on the table and said "no rush," but never asked if we wanted to see a dessert menu. Total rush job. The Appetizers: We ordered the conch fritters and the calamari. The fritters were incredibly soft and completely flavorless (though the sauce was okay). The calamari was awful—pale, anemic, totally unseasoned, and not crispy at all. The Entrees: The main meals were a complete bust. My father ordered the linguini with clam sauce, which is his favorite dish that he eats almost every single…

The locals here in Melbourne will tell you this is the best seafood place around I believe it's true inland, there's better on beachside and Sebastian but this is damn good seafood here. Staff is incredible the atmosphere it's nice to.
-
We go every Friday I'll have swordfish and she'll have the lobster we walk out there only $49 can't beat that price

We always look forward to our visit when we’re down in Melbourne Florida, however this time they had made some changes to their menu, some changes inside the restaurant that just wasn’t the same place we are used to. The food was okay, it would have been nice to have some options with appetizers instead of each one priced on their own. Not sure if we will return, someone has told me about a great sea place at Daytona I will be visiting.

One of our favorite spots since the early 80s

Love this restaurant. The food atmosphere and staff is terrific. Very reasonably priced.

Omg we are here for lunch on 5/29/26. I ordered the shrimp Diablo and my server ask if I wanted the lunch or dinner portion. I was like the lunch (and I should do this more often and never do). The lunch portion was plenty and the dish itself was beyond amazing. The cheese burger my girlfriend got was cooked perfectly. It was a great experience dining here this afternoon. The staff was so pleasant to all the guests. This is definitely a place to return to

Fast, excellent menu and delicious. Prices are much better than that crappy joint Yellow Dog Cafe.

If you’re craving seafood cooked perfectly without fail, Then Shells of Melbourne is the spot that never grows stale. Their spectacular Shrimp Pasta deserves applause so loud and grand, Rich, creamy, flavorful perfection that’s among the best in the land. From fresh fish to oysters and platters piled up high, Their seafood variety keeps every customer satisfied. Each dish comes out delicious, seasoned just right with care, And the friendly staff and cozy vibe make the experience even more rare. Whether lunch with family or dinner after a long day’s grind, Shells of Melbourne is the kind of place you’re always glad to find. Amazing flavors, generous portions, and service that shines bright, It’s easy to see why locals keep returning night after night. PS: Service sort of slow. That's the only thing we suggest bettering. Our dirty plates were there 30 minutes and no one came to take them away despite seeing them multiple times.

Stopped by at about 3 PM on a Thursday afternoon. It was not busy. Two of us had a Bay Scallop basket and we shared a side of hush puppies. The scallops were nearly perfect spheres and cooked to a dark, almost mahogany color, so the scallops were quite chewy. The hush puppies were also nearly perfect spheres, making us believe that both the scallops and hush puppies (and probably more) was simply frozen food that was purchased from a distributor. The hush puppies were also a very dark brown with the occasional black -- but once through the outer shell, they tasted OK. The 3rd member of our group tried the linguine with white clam sauce (his favorite) and he gave up after eating about 1/4 of it because it wasn't very good (he loves it at Amici's and Brooklyn Pizza, both in Viera.) Strangely, the french fries were a light, golden brown, so I guess it was POSSIBLE to not over cook fried food. Overall, our visit showed a very sad reflection of what was once one of our favorite places for seafood. Maybe they are better when they are busy, but that's no excuse for the food we received.

Service was great and so was food very reasonable price

Worst experience ever! What happened to customer service?? Called in a pick up order, went to pick up… got almost home, they forgot our dessert. I drive back… $8 cheesecake slice, no fruit on top (as pictured on the menu) ask for topping, they said they need to charge for topping. It’s on the menu…. Strawberries! Now I wasted gas and time to go back and get disappointed all while our dinner was getting cold. No, sorry…. Nothing.. thanks for showing me you don’t appreciate my money, guess I will take it elsewhere. Signed; a disappointed customer :(
