Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
People either love this place or they do not, and the ratings show it. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.0, so it reads as a strength. Serving size is the next most common subject, in 23% of reviews (averaging 4.2).
If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (15 reviews). 19 of 26 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower. One subject never comes up here: freshness.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (87/100), citing 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 2 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on June 4, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 34% of graded kitchens in Orange County. The citations behind that grade include food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and insects/rodents/pests.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Everything above is computed from the 26 reviews reproduced below.

Thank you Kesta! We came in with a very large group and you were amazing! This was probably one of my best visits to Bob Marley’s, made extra special by you. You handled our endless orders of jerk wings and drinks seamlessly. Next time I come back I’m definitely asking for you.😊

Delicious underrated cauliflower bites Love u uncle Bob!

This is a great restaurant to check out at Citywalk. The atmosphere is cool with covered outdoor, open air seating that leads to a courtyard that’s open air with a stage, live music & cool vibes. The service was pretty slow but I think we had a new server. The food was rich, authentic, delicious & worth the dine in experience. There’s some vegetarian options too.

Great live music and a chill vibe.

The door staff were nice . The food was 8/10 and the vibes , ambiance and music was Amazing . The problem was our server and his management were rude and distasteful on top of charging 25 dollars per person in gratuity. It was definitely sad because I really anticipated going to this restaurant and it was not a great experience.

As a Jamaican, this spot is it. Great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Just a really good spot overall and feels unique compared to other restaurants in the area. Shoutout to our waitress Cat! We’ll definitely be returning.

I visited the restaurant on June 6 2026 after the universal park. I had the jerk cauliflower with rice and peas and plantin. When I got to my hotel I was noxious. The entire night in the bathroom. My stomach cramped and ran all night with blood in my stool. I am at the park again as part of my vacation and cannot stop going to the bathroom. Therefore my vacation is over. Thanks alot, now a trip to the ER.

The food quality was subpar, and the portion size was also small. My first meal did not have any meat in it, so I sent it back and requested something different. The rice was old and it was a kids' size portion for $25. I was not pleased with the food. The menu didn't have many options, and you have to factor in spicy foods, especially if you're not accustomed to eating spicy food. The live band and the atmosphere are what make the restaurant an amazing place to visit. We have visited Bob Marley's museum in Jamaica, so the restaurant has the same great vibe.

Amazing food and portions. I cannot express how nice they were and how on point they were. My server didnt even write down our order for four and got everything right by mind. Impressive. I am also super happy and gracious, I told them it was my birthday and they gave me a card signed by everyone working there. Ive never had a restaurant as good as the atmosphere in this one.

The food at this place was not what I had expected. The environment was pleasant, and the staff was friendly. However, my curry goat was extremely pasty, as if it had been sitting for a while. It was thick and had a strong curry powder flavor. Perhaps I should have tried something else on my first visit. I’m not sure if I’ll be returning to this place for dinner. My beverage of choice was good, but overall, the prices are high for the quality of the food and service.

John our server was very good and made sure we were cared for, food was amazing and highly recommend going here.

Food good. Service so-so. Our party of 7 weren't informed of the mandatory "gratuity" for parties of 6+ (apparently it's in the super fine print on the menu). Bit of a scam that, call it what it is (a service charge); a gratuity is optional and should be based on the service received (which was just okay). The "gratuity" debate soured what was a nice family dinner with good food (portions a bit small) and drinks accompanied by good music (which could have been louder if I'm being honest).

Big ups to the best bartender Damion!!!

I don’t know what my expectations were, but I was presently surprised with the service and the food was fantastic. The steak skewers were phenomenal. Our bartender Blake was really attentive, even though he had to take care of bar top and walk up he was very attentive.

Had a great dinner here. The food was great and service was top notch. Drinks very good. Star of the show was definitely the Seduction band that was there on Sunday night

Good food, Mr John was our guy

I had a frustrating experience with the kitchen hours during my visit. Earlier in the day, we were told the kitchen would be open for dinner until 11:00 PM. However, when we arrived around 10:15 PM, the kitchen was already closed due to weather and low turnout. While I understand that conditions can affect operations, clearer communication would have made a big difference—especially for guests planning their evening around those stated hours. I would highly recommend calling ahead to confirm kitchen availability, or arriving earlier in the evening to avoid disappointment.

Its a definite stop while at Universal

My favorite place on city walk the food is great. The best waiter I’ve ever had, Ard also works there!

Great spot to vibe. Live entertainment, great drinks and food, gives a taste of Jamaica. Their jerk dishes are good - but the curry goat was a no for me. It was small pieces of mutton (no bone) swimming in a curry gravy. Not the quality I expected. Definitely check out their live entertainment in the evening - they get you moving and grooving.

The decor is so very nice. The atmosphere is great. The staff were all very friendly. So we chose this restaurant to celebrate my daughter's 27th birthday. Our server Kecia was awesome and a very sweet young lady. Let me get into it: Being from NYC, I have eaten at various Caribbean restaurants. Good Caribbean food is key. I was hoping that this restaurant would really wow me since such a great man's name is on it. Well, the food was good but not what I expected. We had their salsa and chips. It's just okay, a little too spicy, and loose. The rice and peas were just a bit bland for my taste, and they didn't give much rice & peas on the plate. I am used to getting a nice portion to eat with a half chicken. I had more chicken than rice. Literally, like a serving spoonful. The jerk chicken was delicious, and the plantains were as well. The stew chicken was not to my daughter's liking and a bit too spicy. She didn't even complete her meal. The rasta pasta was pretty good. Now, let's talk drinks! The bartender was soooo on point. I had a rum punch, and my daughter had the mojitio. My son in law had a guava juice. He really enjoyed it. The best drinks that we had in a while. Thumbs up, Mr. Bartender. The band that played was really good. We enjoyed the sounds. Maybe we will give this restaurant another try and taste something else. The location is at City Walk. Universal Theme Park.

Wonderful setting for some good food with great service

Bob would be disappointed. We got married in Jamaica and I don't remember jerk sauce tasting like sweet baby rays wet and sugary sauce. Waiter is a nice guy, but it's so loud in here, he missed half our order. At least the red stripe is good.

Today was my wife’s and my anniversary. We chose Bob Marley’s on Universal Studios City Walk to celebrate. We’ve been there several times in the past though it has been a couple of years. As always the place was spotless, had great music and an incredible atmosphere. The food was also great as always. My reason for this post was how amazing the service was. This is not to imply it isn’t usually good, it’s always good but today it was 10 steps above good. Jamaican John L. was our server. He is a shining example of how someone who takes the service career seriously and made a normally good experience amazing. Professional service like this is rare and I hope he is rewarded for his love and passion (you can’t fake what John brings to the table (pun intended)). We were so impressed I asked to speak to the manager. The manager, Joe, came by and explained that Joe is this amazing every day. We hopefully tipped him to a point he realizes how much we appreciated his care and service. But to anyone heading to Bob Marley’s ask for Jamaican John you won’t be disappointed and you’ll leave with a little bit of the islands in heart. Thank you, John you helped make our 23 anniversary celebration amazing.
