FLAME KABOB
Great reviews, failing grade. FLAME KABOB carries a 4.5-star reputation on 1,700 reviews, but its kitchen last graded out at 63/100 — a D on our A–F scale.
That D comes from 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 7 basic violations cited on December 3, 2025. It currently ranks safer than 5% of Orange County restaurants we grade — close to the bottom of the county. And the direction isn't reassuring: its recent inspections have been sliding, not recovering. If you want the flavor with fewer question marks, the safer-options list below maps higher-graded kitchens within a short drive.

Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The crowd and the kitchen disagree here, and the gap is wide. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.9 stars.
26 of 26 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 25 of the 26 reviewers who rated.
The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen a D (63/100) on 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 7 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. That inspection was on December 3, 2025. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 5% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination and handwashing.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Great food. Loved watching the game while simultaneously chowing down on some juicy, flavorful, and most importantly, delicious lamb kofta kebab over rice. Ask for extra white sauce. I will be coming back here if I’m in the area.

I came here for the first time with a few friends and I was greeted warmly by our waitress who was friendly and helpful. She made a few suggestions to my friends and I and they were excellent. The restaurant is small and cozy which sets a good friendly vibe. I am looking forward to coming back and recommend this restaurant if you're in the area, I tried the lamb here and it didn't disappoint.

Found this place about 6-7 years ago while visiting Orlando and was blown away. I now live in Orlando and get to come here all the time; and it’s still my favorite Mediterranean spot. Their falafel are the best I’ve ever had. Their hummus is so smoothe and creamy. Chicken shawarma is unbelievable and they are super friendly and attentive. Highly recommend!!
