Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This is the pattern the site exists to surface: strong reviews, weak inspection. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (17 of 22). Of the 22 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 4 at two or below.
None of that is visible in a star rating: the most recent DBPR inspection graded this kitchen a D (62/100), citing 2 high-priority, 6 intermediate, and 4 basic violations. Diner sentiment and inspection result are measuring different things here, and only one of them is checked by the state. The visit behind that grade was January 30, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 5% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited food from approved source and food & equipment thermometers provided and accurate.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

This pizza was amazing, love the free garlic knot per slice. Parking was a little hectic but all in all would definitely recommend it.

Nice setup, and good food. Fair pricing

I had one of those brutally long day at work where nothing went right, and by the time I clocked out, I just wanted to sit by myself and eat some heavy comfort food. I walked over to Gitto's, grabbed a small table in the corner, and ordered a slice of pizza and a side of garlic knots. The knots are honestly the star of the show here, super doughy, perfectly baked, and so garlicky. The slice was huge and hit the exact spot I needed it to. I was about to leave when I noticed they had homemade cookies at the counter, so I grabbed one for the road. Best decision ever, it was still soft and amazing. Left feeling a million times better than when I walked in.

Excellent...the staff is also incredible 😲
-
A lowkey hidden gem. Staff were super sweet and trusting. The upstairs seating area is a great place to lounge and get away from the chaos of the street. Food is good and prices very well for how big a slice is. It’s our new spot for when we come to Orlando

The epitome of NY Style pizza!!! From the building to the actual food! The guys behind are counter... not calling them servers, because they actually care and want you to have a great experience! The pizza is great, the garlic knots are bomb, the chicken parm is freaking amazing!!! Downstairs you order and then grab your food, you can either go upstairs and eat or grab it to go. And they're expanding!!

Best Pizzas in Orlando

Had an awesome experience at Gitto’s Pizza downtown Orlando thanks to Jeffrey! You can tell he really takes pride in making the pizza everything came out fresh, hot, and delicious. On top of that, he was super friendly, welcoming, and gave great service from start to finish. Definitely one of the reasons I’ll be coming back!

Ordered a pizza for delivery. They did not send all items with driver. When I contacted the gentleman was very rude and did not attempt to fix the problem. Instead said call Uber Eats and get a refund which Uber Eats did not want to provide. I had to drive 20 minutes to pick up missing items only for when we get there the individual to be rude and say bad remarks in Spanish like if I don’t understand him. Very unprofessional & terrible customer service Not to mention pizza crust was extremely thick.

Absolutely wonderful slices of pizza. Great subs too. Will be going back.

Pizza was perfect, 10/10! Atmosphere is very unique and we loved watching them make pizza from above. My kiddos loved it for lunch. Great lunch specials.

This place is running a straight-up bait-and-switch late at night. Their menu clearly shows whole pies for sale, but after waiting over 30 minutes in line, customers are only told at the counter that they “aren’t selling whole pies right now.” Conveniently, they’ll still sell you the exact same pizza by the slice for an absurd markup. A Meat Lovers pie on the menu is around $26, but somehow they have no problem charging $6.75 per slice instead. Do the math. They’re intentionally forcing customers into paying significantly more and not informing anyone ahead of time while people stand there wasting their time in line. That’s the part that’s truly disrespectful. Put up a sign. Tell people before they wait half an hour. Be transparent. Don’t wait until customers are trapped at the register hungry after an event to suddenly change the rules. The pizza isn’t good enough to justify business practices like this. Felt completely hustled. Never again. Someone should do something about this none sense

Iam from New York and this place in Orlando Florida Downtown

Just left this place. I’m sure they are used to dealing with drunk people but as someone who is completely sober, I am feel it necessary to address how my aunt was spoken to tonight/this morning. The young lady working was extremely rude and her tone was 100 percent unnecessarily. I did address this with her personally but she also needs to understand that her tone messed with business. Let’s do better to talk to her each other with respect.

Guys......seriously? You burnt the hell out of this and thought "yup. Send it!" Burnt to an absolute crisp. The crust is hard as a rock, I could use it as a weapon. Wild.....

I had the absolute pleasure of meeting sam tonight. She’s the bartender upstairs and is the most fun genuine and happy person ever. She talked to me authentically for an hour, made the best drinks, and clearly knew everyone there. She creates the wonderful atmosphere at the Gittos upstairs bar. We absolutely will be coming back because of sam. Pizza is amazing too!!!!
