Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Something changed. Recent visits score noticeably higher than earlier ones. Where front-of-house comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength. Cleanliness follows at 22% of reviews, where ratings average 4.5.
The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (13 of 18). Of the 18 rated reviews, 15 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on how food arrives at all.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a B (86/100) with 1 high-priority and 2 intermediate violations — middling, much like the reviews. The visit behind that grade was April 13, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 32% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and plumbing installed & maintained.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Convenient for sea world but 30 mins to universal or Disney. Otherwise it’s a great hotel with solid restaurant options. Drive out of resort and there are a lot of local restaurants to go to too. It was rather busy the weekend before July 4th. 30-45 minutes for a slide! That wait stunk!

Great experience!

Rooms were spacious and well equipped!! Only gave a 4 as my husband felt the bed was a bit on the firm side. Yoursla (sp?) was a standout at the front desk!! She was very helpful and accommodating!! Made our staycation memorable:)

One of our favorites. Outstanding customer service, attention to detail, great food and drinks. The rooms are top quality and a truly relaxing and enjoyable hotel and getaway! Great for families or couples alone!

Great staff, great restaurants and a killer resort style pool
-
Great experience and rooms with a lake side nightly view of the fireworks shows.
-
A great atmosphere with a luxurious feel but the water tastes like sulphur and the walls are thinner than a Motel 6. Great place if you are okay paying twice the price for any food or drink and want to listen to your neighbors cough and use the bathroom in surround sound

I wish I could give this resort more than 5 stars! We had an incredible experience from the beginning to the end of our stay. Our check in was smooth and accommodating, our room was extremely clean, and plenty of luxury amenities. Customer service is top notch throughout! The pool area is extensive and the kids loved the water slides! We ate at several restaurants including dinner at the Ritz. Our favorite places to eat were Cafe bodega for a quick breakfast and delicious coffee and the knife and burger near the pool. The cuban sandwich and burgers are so good! Chair side service at the pool was limited but everyone was so friendly. The fireworks were beyond incredible and a big highlight! I highly recommend staying here and booking a balcony room with a pool view. We can’t wait to visit again soon! Thank you for making our stay so memorable!

The property is landscaped beautifully! The slides are fun for a three day weekend. The lazy river is underwhelming. But the restaurants are lacking, too expensive for the family friendly environment they are trying to achieve. Primo is not really for hotel guests. , citron more for convention folk, the farm to kitchen definitely not for 5yo, how about an ice cream shoppe ? How about a food friendly kid place? Room service will kill the budget. They need work on this

I was invited to a presentation by the Marriott Vacation Club located at this site. I've always been a fan of Marriott property growing up, 2nd to my experiences with Disney properties. I had been to presentations with my parents growing up, so I vaguely understood the process and had considerations on purchasing a package for my growing family. I was surprised that they did not provide food, like the presentations I attended with family growing up. Days before the scheduled presentation, we considered an additional day at the property we were booked at, as it was very nice. Communication was seamless with the Cypress Harbor staff. I was disappointed in the vacation club staff and their lack of communication with the resort staff to add the additional day. The request was never generated and sent to the resort by the rep I spoke with. Upon following up, the front desk had nothing on record. Additionally, the resort attempted multiple forms of contact to the vacation club on my behalf and they failed to return communication via voicemail and/or email to front desk management. During the presentation, I was pleasantly disappointed in the lack of professionalism by both the sales presenter and manager. It was filled with rhetorical questions, condescending remarks and very pushy to apply for a credit card and instructions on how I need to use my points. When I was asked if I had any questions throughout the presentation, I was interrupted each time I asked a question, so I…

Too big, too much walking. They give you a map!

I absolutely loved my short stay here! Everything was top-notch from the moment I arrived. The staff members were incredibly helpful, and the entire property was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained. I had a blast grabbing a bite at the outdoor bar and enjoying a few drinks by the pool. I will definitely be coming back with my toddler next time!

Our stay at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes was absolutely perfect and unforgettable. We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Luis, Housni, Beatrice, Donna, Wilfred, Leo, and Andrea. Each of them went above and beyond to make our getaway truly special. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality made our stay incredibly memorable. Because of their exceptional service, we created wonderful memories that we will cherish for years to come. Thank you all for making our stay so special and unforgettable. We look forward to returning in the future! With sincere gratitude, Ernie & Angela Boswell-Carbo
