Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The trajectory matters more than the average on this listing. The staff cuts both ways here, averaging 3.9 among the reviews that raise it. Freshness follows at 23% of reviews, where ratings average 5.0.
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 16 of 22. The split is 17 positive to 5 negative across 22 rated reviews. What nobody raises here is pacing — it goes unmentioned across all 22 reviews.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a C (74/100), citing 2 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 2 basic violations. That result dates from June 23, 2026. That puts it ahead of 12% of graded kitchens in Orange County. What the inspector actually wrote up: cross-contamination.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

We went there last night for a dinner. The service was very good. They were very attentive and welcoming. Food was absolutely delicious. We ordered lamb curry, Chicken Tikka Masala and Shahi paneer with Methi but I can’t remember the name of it on the menu was chef’s paneer something. Anyways, really good food. Their garlic naans were so fresh and delicious gently covered with butter. Like every other Indian restaurants, the bathroom can use some attention.

Indian food. Well balanced spice levels. Very tasty. Had the chicken tika masala and it did not disappoint. Naan was hot and fresh. In Orlando for the week and had to come back again it was so good.

We had an absolutely amazing experience at this new Punjabi restaurant on International Drive. We ordered pani puri, dahi puri, chaat, onion kulcha, matar paneer, chole bhature, tandoori chicken, chicken chef special, garlic naan, Indian masala chai, and moong dal halwa. Every dish was freshly prepared, full of flavor, and tasted incredibly authentic. The chaat items were outstanding, and the matar paneer, tandoori chicken, and chole bhature were especially delicious. Honestly, this was some of the best Indian food we’ve had in Orlando. The hospitality was equally wonderful. The uncle and auntie running the place were very warm, welcoming, and attentive. You can clearly see the experience and passion behind the restaurant, which they have been running for many years. Overall, a fantastic dining experience with superb food and great service. Highly recommended and definitely worth visiting again!

The garlic naan is a must-have every visit. The food and personal service are always excellent. We eat here every trip to Orlando.

Exceptional owner and staff. More exceptional was the food. Had a blend of coconut and curry sauce with rice and lamb. Generous portions too.

I can’t say enough good things about New Punjab Indian Restaurant. I’m originally from London, where authentic Indian food is easy to find, so I’m quite picky when it comes to Indian cuisine. Finding truly authentic Indian food in Orlando isn’t always easy—but New Punjab absolutely nailed it. If I ever crave Indian food, this is always my go-to place. The food is consistently amazing. The naans are hands down the best, and every curry I’ve tried has been excellent. My absolute favorite is the paneer butter masala, followed closely by the dal makhni—usually paired with a garlic naan, which is perfection. They also deserve special mention for their wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options. It’s so thoughtful that they even accommodate people who don’t eat onion or garlic, which is rare and truly appreciated. Another big plus: plenty of free parking around the plaza, so it’s always easy and stress-free to visit. Overall, the food, authenticity, options, and convenience make this place a solid 5-star experience for me. If you’re looking for real, comforting, authentic Indian food in Orlando, New Punjab is the place to go. Highly recommended!

Awesome management team and nice staff! "Great Traditional Indian Cuisines!" Enjoyed the simplistic atmosphere and pleasantries. Wish they had more locations. Keep up the great tradition guys and coodoes for being the oldest running Indian restaurant on I-Drive❤️!

-
One of the most authentic Indian food I have had in this restaurant. Every single dish I had, whether it is vegetarian or non-vegetarian, was good. During our trip, I had food at least four to five times at this place. Absolutely loved it.

Came across this restaurant on a fluke. So glad we did. Jay was our waitress and she gave me EXCELLENT recommendations. I had the mango lassi, lamb dish, and the potato naan. My friend had the butter chicken and garlic naan and said he went to heaven. I also want to address the cleanliness of the restaurant. We both noticed immediately how much they care about the quality of your experience. Simple decor, but incredible food. Thank you again Jay and we will see you soon!

Service at the front completely turned me off. Came off rude and condescending, and I wasn’t about to spend money after that. First impressions matter.

I was so happy to find this place! The staff inside are so kind and welcoming! I really appreciate their service!! Especially the girl at the front who was so knowledgable and recommended some great things! However, It was the food that was absolutely amazing!!! I I have no words to describe how incredible it was!! The chicken curry was spot on!!! This is real authentic Indian food with amazing spice flavour!! Thank you for making my visit so comfortable and so tasty! I hope to be back again someday!!

This place is truly a paradise for vegetarian food lovers. The staff is incredibly kind, caring, and professional, making the entire dining experience feel warm and welcoming. One of the highlights is their special lunch menu available Monday through Friday, which offers great variety and value without compromising on quality. Every dish tastes like it’s made fresh to order, and you can really notice the attention to detail in every bite. The food is not just good—it’s deeply satisfying. Every item on the menu feels thoughtfully prepared, and honestly, everything I’ve tried has been absolutely delicious. By the way they just got awarded with Top 3 Best Indian Restaurant in Orlando.
