Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Something changed. Recent visits score noticeably higher than earlier ones. When the staff comes up here it is usually a criticism, and the ratings attached average 2.7. How long an order takes is the next most common subject, in 35% of reviews (averaging 1.0).
More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 11 of 20. Of the 20 rated reviews, 12 sit at four stars or better and 8 at two or below.
The kitchen graded a B (87/100) on 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 2 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. That result dates from March 20, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 34% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: handwashing and handwash sinks accessible.
If how long an order takes is what you care about, the reviews are the better guide here; if it is the kitchen, the grade is. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

I wasn't overly impressed with the food or the quality. The waitress & Bar staff were phenomenal.

I wish I could give a rating on the food. My friend, my daughter and I walked in and wasn’t even acknowledged other than by a kid running back and forth from the back of the restaurant to the door. There wasn’t even a sign saying wait to be seated. I eventually walked up to 2 employees chatting with each other at a podium and asked if we seat ourselves. One of them nodded and as we were going to one of the MANY empty tables(2/3 of the tables were open, generously speaking), the other guy tells us that the guy that nodded was new and to go back to the door, continue to wait and he’d seat us later. This wouldn’t had been a problem if he hadn’t went back to chatting with the other employee. We just left. There may have been some sort of misunderstanding, I’m not sure, but this wasn’t a great first impression.

Great food and ambience.

The food took for ever and the service was below average. Disappointing

Looks cool inside and that’s about it, took over 1 hour and 15 mins to get my food. When I finally got it they served me this bland steak which cost $18 and you have to pay extra for rice, beans and anything else. I finished my food and was still waiting for my side of fires which I ordered when I originally order the meal. Wouldn’t recommended to anyone honestly unless you want a cool Instagram picture. Million other restaurants that will serve you faster

Atmosphere was great and they had a live singer. Food was pretty good even the next day. Service was not good. We are very patient when it comes to restaurants as we understand that servers have so much on their hands. However, our experience here was not the best. We only had 2 requests that are "special" which is an extra spoon and a to go box. Food didn't come out until 40mins after ordering. We only ordered 2 of their bestsellers. We ordered a 2nd bottle of the drink they're promoting and it was forgotten until we followed up for the 3rd time. We would have ordered more of the drink coz it was good but we didn't because we don't have the time to wait. Extra spoon never arrived. To go box and bill took 3 follow ups and me walking straight to who I think is a manager just so we can pay and leave. Overall, what was supposed to be a one hour sit down meal turned into an almost 2 hour ordeal with mostly "waiting" and our orders were straight forward. My point is, we are not even a big group! Literally just 2 adults and this is how long it took for us! Food, atmosphere was good for experience but we value our time greatly so the trade-off was not great.

I’m disappointed to be leaving this review about Pal Campo because our first visit was good, which is why we decided to come back. Unfortunately, the service during our second visit was extremely poor. When we arrived, there was no host available, and our server seated us. After our food was delivered, she never checked on us again despite walking past our table multiple times. We felt completely ignored throughout the meal. I also watched a family come in hoping to enjoy lunch, but after waiting around 10 minutes without being helped, they left. What made it worse was that the manager was sitting there while all of this was happening. When we finished eating, it took a long time to receive our check, and after it was brought to the table, our server never returned to process the payment. Eventually, I had to find another employee to help us pay so we could leave. Our original server ran over to me in panic as we left, like if we were leaving without paying. The food was good, but the poor service completely ruined the experience. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Amazing Puerto Rican Dining Experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant, colorful, and full of Puerto Rican charm. The beautiful décor, bright colors, and welcoming ambiance made us feel like we were transported straight to the island. The restaurant is spacious, family-friendly, and perfect for gathering with friends and loved ones. The food was absolutely outstanding! The mofongo topped with shrimp and a perfectly cooked pork chop was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The shrimp were fresh, juicy, and seasoned beautifully, while the mofongo was rich, authentic, and delicious. Every bite was a perfect combination of traditional Puerto Rican flavors. The presentation was impressive, the portions were generous, and you could truly taste the quality and care that goes into every dish. The service was friendly, attentive, and made the experience even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for authentic Puerto Rican cuisine, great portions, and a fun, inviting atmosphere, this place is a must-visit. We will definitely be coming back again and again! Highly recommended — 10/10! 🇵🇷❤️

We always choose to visit the Apopka location whenever we have family visiting because the food is consistently delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the live music makes the experience even more enjoyable. On our most recent visit, GABRIELA provided exceptional customer service and truly went above and beyond. She regularly checked on our table to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were enjoying our experience. Her attentiveness, professionalism, and friendly attitude made us feel genuinely welcomed. Without a doubt, GABRIELA has been the best server we’ve had here so far. She made our dining experience even more enjoyable, and we greatly appreciate the outstanding service she provided. We look forward to returning to the Apopka location again soon!
