Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The newer reviews here read better than the older ones — 3.7 against 1.3. Freshness is the sore point: those reviews average 2.5.
The split is 12 positive to 9 negative across 23 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle. Conspicuously absent: portion size, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 11 of the 23 reviewers who rated.
None of that is visible in a star rating: the most recent DBPR inspection graded this kitchen a D (68/100), citing 2 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 7 basic violations. Diner sentiment and inspection result are measuring different things here, and only one of them is checked by the state. That inspection was on March 20, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 7% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were wiping cloths.
When the crowd and the inspection agree this closely, the signal is worth taking at face value. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Seems like the ac isn’t working. Very warm in the bakery.
-

A higiene do banheiro deixou a desejar. Faltou papel para enxugar as mãos. Não estava limpo.

KAT, was so inviting. We came down for Father’s Day weekend just to visit Orlando area and KAT was the great ending to our trip. Love his excitement, supreme hospitality, and kindness. He should be promoted to Mayor of the city

I used to be a regular customer for many years, but recently I’ve noticed fewer and fewer options available. During my last visit, I asked about several items from the menu, and the employee “guy” wearing sunglasses inside the store just kept smiling and saying, “No, we don’t have that,” and “Unfortunately, we don’t have that either.” The customer in front of me even joked, “Well, you don’t have anything!” I then asked if they had a cappuccino, and once again the answer was no. At that point, I left and went to Amor em Pedaços instead. If you don’t hire friendly and attentive staff, pay employees fairly, keep your inventory stocked, and take care of your business, customers will go elsewhere. It’s sad to see one of the first Brazilian bakeries reach this point. I hope management takes these concerns seriously and makes improvements before it’s too late.

Péssimo local para tomar café da manhã, funcionários sem treinamento, comida de péssima qualidade

This place used to be good a few years ago but now is just terrible. The waiting for the food is exhausting, we show up at 730am and it took exactly 25 min to get two fried ‘coxinhas’ and one coffee ready. We also came two days before today around 9am and we had the same issue, if you are planning to come here for a quick stop to grab some snack and go to your place I strongly recommend you to plan ahead so you don’t get frustrated by the waiting time.

What happened to one of our favorite places to eat in Orlando? We used to love coming here whenever we visited, but today's experience was extremely disappointing. The first surprise was that the restaurant was completely empty this afternoon. Given how hot it was outside—around 93°F with very high humidity, felt like 105°F, we were looking forward to cooling off indoors. Unfortunately, after we walked in, we quickly realized it felt almost as warm inside as it did outside. We decided to stay and place our order anyway. Things only got worse when we found out the air conditioning wasn't working. By the time our food arrived, we were sweating and very uncomfortable. The food quality was also far below what we've experienced here in the past. The brigadeiros were dry and didn't taste fresh. The empadinhas were cold and had an unusual taste. The pão de queijo was hard and cold as well. Even the juice was served without ice. At that point, we had had enough. We left feeling frustrated and disappointed. I'm leaving this review in the hope that management takes notice and addresses these issues. Something is clearly not right, and I sincerely hope this restaurant can get back to the quality it once had. We used to love coming here, but after today's experience, I'm not sure we'll be returning.

We visited this bakery today and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The employee who attended us, Felipe, was kind and polite throughout our visit. However, when I asked if the brigadeiro cake was fresh, I was told that it was. After trying it, the cake tasted old and dry, which was disappointing. We also noticed a fly in the area where the sweets were displayed, which was concerning. I also asked about the cheese breads because there were only a few left. I was told they had been there for about two hours, but no fresh options or alternatives were suggested. I'm sharing this review as constructive feedback because I believe this bakery has potential. I hope more attention can be given to freshness and food presentation to provide a better experience for future customers.
