Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The most recent reviews here are worse than the older ones — 3.3 against 4.2. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.0, so it reads as a strength.
11 of 18 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 5 are two or lower. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (8 reviews). Coverage here reaches back to Aug 2025 and forward to Jun 2026.
None of that is visible in a star rating: the most recent DBPR inspection graded this kitchen a D (62/100), citing 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 8 basic violations. Diner sentiment and inspection result are measuring different things here, and only one of them is checked by the state. DBPR last walked in on April 29, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 5% of graded kitchens in Orange County. The citations behind that grade include food from approved source and cross-contamination.
When the crowd and the inspection agree this closely, the signal is worth taking at face value. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Friendly service, good food, reasonably priced, drinks available, nice crowd, not too loud. Location safe, parking behind restaurant.Handicap ♿, debit/credit welcome.

Yum! The food is very tasty and service is very friendly. Drinks are strong. Great atmosphere with a fun laid back decor. The cost is not cheap but reasonable. Favorites from several visits: enchiladas (cheesy but the rice was a bit undercooked), chicken taco, special Reuben taco. The taco salad was boring. I enjoy the 99 c chops and salsa, even if the salsa is not extraordinary. The margaritas are good. Service is usually very efficient.

Honestly, I don’t understand why anyone goes here. It’s been horrible for a long time. Tried to order draft beer, but was told it was warm. Ordered a margarita instead, but it tasted like something in it had gone bad. When I told the server, she pulled out a straw and TASTED IT!! Which is so insane. She agreed it was gross and something was wrong. The salsa was clearly straight from a jar. My daughter’s rice was cold and crunchy. Her chimichanga had no cheese, and was soggy not crunchy. Looked like they had just poured salsa on top…. And I was still charged for that gross margarita. I love a hole in the wall and the atmosphere was fine, but that’s it. I will not go back.

Live music this Sunday!!

Overall decent atmosphere, food was not good. Accidentally left my credit card and had to cancel with Chase because someone used it to go to a footwear store after I left a voice message to hold my card in safe keeping until I could come get it. Would not go back. Don’t leave your credit card!

Really fun dive kind of bar. Food wasn’t great but bar was fun.

Good food and a nice place to hang out and have a beer

My kid brought this home and it was like the worst version of white people taco night I've ever seen. And the chicken was absolutely inedible.
-
Interesting Mexican restaurant. Atmosphere was fun. You can sit at the bar or sit in their dining room. Service was quick and attentive. Food was hot and fresh. Large portions for a reasonable price. If I'm in the area I'll stop here and try something different.

Good service and the food was delicious.

The food has no flavor. Rice was hard. Been here twice and the food is still terrible. Service was great. I don’t see myself willing going back. 👎

Fun friendly atmosphere

I like this place. The shredded beef tacos and/or enchiladas remind me of some my mom used to make. Maybe that’s why I like the food. Just don’t expect any refills of your sweet tea anytime soon. Some servers are good while some…. Not so good.. three stars on the service might be a little generous… depending on your server.

Definitely a dive bar and not the cleanest place in College Park. Funky Tex Mex place with a cool vibe. The brisket fajitas are amazing!!!

Love the food. Service is good. Ignore the place 😃

It’s an old outdated place, not worth the money and the time. The bartender was great that’s about it.
