The reviews here settle around 2.9 stars, without much argument in either direction. When freshness and temperature comes up here it is usually a criticism, and the ratings attached average 2.3. After that, whether it is worth the money appears most often — 27% of the corpus, averaging 2.7.
If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 1, the most frequently given rating (6 reviews). Coverage here reaches back to Nov 2025 and forward to Jun 2026. 9 of 22 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 11 are two or lower.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (88/100), citing 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 1 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on May 21, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 37% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized and floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained.

It was horrible being here. I ordered a crudo y chicken sandwich without pickles, cheese and no sauce. They gave me the burguer with no cheetos and with cheese, which I said no to. I went on to tell the cook, and they gave me a burguer WITHOUT cheetos, lettuce or anything. Just the damn bread and burguer. I was hungry so I ate it anyways, and I think it tasted like fish

One of the worst dry burger meals I’ve ever had. For the $50 that I spent, on the two of us, I felt I was totally robbed! There was obviously no love in the making of the meal. The chips (fries) were bland, very dry and cheap tasting. The place has no friendly vibe whatsoever. The fact that we were practically the only customers in it; told us a lot about the place! There were far too many staff just talking and standing around doing absolutely nothing. The manager was just stood fixed with his hands in his pockets, the whole of the time that we were dining…. When we amicably gave them some positive criticism, they were offended and clearly didn’t want to know! Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Nasty, burgers weren’t good fries were decent and not to mention my chicken was RAW cool place though
-
Decent theme park burger place, pretty cool theming towards the San Francisco section of the park, good service but an overall lack of unique options for the park, however perfectly fine if you are just looking for a more basic burger/ American fare

My daughter went there yesterday and she was serve nearly raw chicken … I know she would rather wait a bit more and get fully cooked chicken.. is was with her 8th grade class
-
Food was delicous, hot and quick. All things considered its also not to expensive for what you get in terms of theme park food. Worth it! We went 04/25/26 and it was great.

Burger was bland and lacked flavor
-
$18 for a burger with, cold cheese (which remained cold), one visibly aged lettuce leaf, a single tomato slice... and fries not terrible but for the price could've been better.
-
Loving that Universal has really elevated their food especially their salads though I wish they would have paired a different salad dressing to the Alcatraz Cobb Salad the raspberry vinegarette doesn't pair well in my opinion
-
Very delicious burgers and fries

I just randomly ate here before joining the Halloween Horror Nights event. This place has very bad reviews on Google, but imo, it was quite decent for an amusement park restaurant. I got the Aftershock Burger, which consists of fresh Angus beef patty, jalapeño bacon jam, fried onion stars, pepperjack cheese, American cheese, lettuce and BBQ sauce. The combo is 21.99 USD, and includes fries and a drink (no refills — each cup has a little RFID chip on the bottom to let the machine know if you’re eligible for a refill). I quite liked the jalapeño bacon jam as it gave the burger a nice sweetness, and it reminded me a bit of the Jollibee spaghetti. Fries were nice too, as they were crisp on the outside and felt like mashed potatoes on the inside — this is quite different than other fries that I’ve tried before. Overall, I really think this place is quite alright despite the bad ratings!

Can’t argue with the food here — a lovely, good-quality burger and fries, better than most theme park food, and the service was rapid. Headed here just before The Blues Brothers show and I must say it was one of the better places I ate, theme-park-wise.

As a chicken sandwich conisseur . The hot Cheeto sandwich was quite literally one of the worst if not the worst I’ve ever had . Terrible .

La mejor hamburguesa gluten free✨ En la caja avisas que sos celíaco y una persona se encarga exclusivamente de tu comida! Se lava las manos y se cambia los guantes varias veces para evitar la contaminación cruzada! Muchas gracias

Burger was dry but fair. The biggest disappointment was for a twenty one dollar value meal, You don't get a refill on your drink. The cup your coded, so you can't go back and get a second drink. This is Universal they got ti get every dollar.
-
Angie was very friendly and helpful! The food was pretty good and the area is clean!
-
It was a nice burguer, I'm just not used to these kind of prices, I ended up full and the taste was fine
-
Food wasn’t bad, good for universal. I had the spicy chicken sandwhich was pretty good, the breading was falling off which is fine. Fries were ok. 7/10 overall. Very busy, but ordered and got food within 20 minutes
-
I ordered one combo and one plate but received the same food for both. Later, I got a drink, and when I tried to sample a new flavor by filling about 10% of the cup, the machine wouldn’t let me fill it any further. Very disappointing.
-
Shitty burger. Worst ever.
-
unfortunately the burger was so nasty for the price $20 you would think you’re getting a great burger esp since it’s in universal but i’ve come to the conclusion these amusement parks just don’t have good burgers cause i had this same problem in disney none of them were good tasted like frozen processed junk… not to mention my burger was super pink last night did not even eat it. bacon looked and taste super weird too. wish i had taken pictures or cared more cause i should have gotten a refund.
