Good place to talk and drink, but food portions are really small

I came to this restaurant after a long day at work with a few friends, expecting to enjoy a meal. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing due to the way we were treated by the manager, Karissa. Before arriving, we spoke with Karissa on the phone and were told that she would see us when we got there. Based on that conversation, we drove a considerable distance to the restaurant. However, after arriving and waiting to be seated, we were ultimately denied service without a reasonable explanation. What was most frustrating was the lack of professionalism, respect, and customer care shown throughout the interaction. As paying customers, we expected to be treated with courtesy and respect. Instead, we left feeling unwelcome and completely disappointed. This experience reflects very poorly on the restaurant’s management and customer service standards. I hope ownership takes this complaint seriously, investigates what happened, and takes appropriate action to ensure future guests are treated with the respect and professionalism they deserve.

If I could give zero stars I would Absolutely terrible customer service. I called ahead and spoke with the manager, who specifically told me that if I came over, I would be able to eat. Based on that information, I rushed there with people from work, only to be treated with complete disrespect when we arrived. The same manager Carissa then spoke to us in a rude and nasty tone and told us she would not serve us. Not only was this unprofessional, but it was also incredibly frustrating after we went out of our way to come based on what we were told over the phone. A simple explanation would have been understandable, but the attitude and lack of courtesy made the situation much worse. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had, and I would not recommend this business to anyone expecting honesty, professionalism, or basic respect. Im sure there is a reason it’s a different manager every time I come here

I had a very disappointing experience at Santiago’s Bodega due to the conduct of manager Carissa Throughout my interaction, she displayed an unprofessional and dismissive attitude that made me feel unwelcome as a customer. What frustrated me most was receiving information that later turned out to be inconsistent with what actually happened. When I tried to address the issue, there was little effort to resolve the situation or take responsibility. Instead of receiving respectful customer service, I felt ignored and treated poorly. A manager should set an example for professionalism, honesty, and customer care. Unfortunately, my experience reflected the opposite. This was one of the worst customer service experiences I have had, and it left me with a very negative impression of the restaurant. I hope ownership takes customer concerns seriously and works to improve management’s approach to guests.

Excellent happy hour - Tapas were varied and excellent! Great service by Kate Lynn!

Simply tastiest of tappas! We ordered off the happy hour menu at only $$7$$ per tapas plate along with the $$5$$Sangria--full glass and nice and fresh and fruity. Katelynn was an incredibly helpful server going above and beyond the typical call of waitering duty. Will def come back next time before a flight--airport only 35 minutes away.

Stopped by here after attending an event nearby yesterday. Didn't know it was $50/person brunch, but luckily our waitress said we could order a la' carte instead. My friend ordered an Irish coffee that was literally inedible. It was disgusting, just pure alcohol. We split the shrimp and grits (good), avocado toast (meh), scrambled eggs (okay), and the everything bagels (WAY too salty). It was very meh and not somewhere I'd go again. Our waitress was very helpful and took the coffee off the check without asking, so she was great, but the food just wasn't really good.

I’ve been coming here for years and will never stop! Food is always great and service is IMMACULATE! Shannon and Sam are the best bartenders I’ve ever had in my life and as long as they work, I will be sat at that bar. I will say to the owners, the new summer hours are a buzzkill and doesn’t make sense to have late night happy hour food for only 45 minutes before closing your kitchen. Y’all are the best late night spot, don’t ruin it!!

Taylor is a great bartender that always remembers me when I come in. He goes above and beyond and always has a good recommendation for what to get. I love coming here during the week.

We came by for brunch and didn’t realize it was buffet-style, which was a bit of a surprise. That was on us though - it wasn’t directly mentioned on the online menu, it was included in the FAQ when I checked after. Some items also have to be specially requested to be made, and some of the items from the menu were also missing from the buffet. The food itself was delicious, although the variety was a bit limited. Our server was amazing and really made the experience better. Unfortunately, some of the staff wasn’t the friendliest. Overall, we still enjoyed our brunch and appreciated the great service from our server. With a little more clarity online and a friendlier approach from some staff members, the experience would have been even better. One interaction regarding the restaurant’s takeout policy felt unnecessarily abrupt and unfortunately took away from the otherwise welcoming atmosphere.

I am very disappointed in this place. The buffet style brunch has ruined it for me. I used to come here before the buffet style set up and the food and service was amazing. Now, the food and service is terrible. Also, the place smells like mildew. Do better guys!

Bread service does not mean bread service. You get two small rolls and that’s it.

Last night, me and a couple of buddies dined at Santiago de Bodegas on Virginia. It has been a few years since I had been there. The food, the quesadillas, which Sarah our server had suggested was amazing as was the shrimp and chorizo skewers with the "pan sauce" were amazingly delicious. My friends preferences were the Lamb chop, the puff pastries and the dates and bacon. Frankly, we had a lot and I do not remember everything, but there was nothing that was not delicious. Our service by Sarah was amazing. She was literally filling our wine glasses, waters and tea as if it were life and death. We really enjoyed our time. If it were my business however, I would like for a patron to make light of something that wasn't up to par and that was the cooling. This was the only thing that mad eus uncomfortable. Granted we are a few fat boys, but it was uncomfortably hot in there. All the paddle fans were working, but it seemed as if the cooling was not up to speed. Perhaps it is time for a refrigerant check on your AC System, besides that thank you for the exceptional food and amazing service from Sarah! we had a wonderful night!
