TAVERNA OPA ORLANDO
TAVERNA OPA ORLANDO is a 4.5-star room with an F-grade kitchen — the kind of gap a star rating will never warn you about, which is the whole reason this page exists.
That F comes from 3 high-priority, 6 intermediate, and 8 basic violations cited on April 27, 2026. It currently ranks safer than 2% of Orange County restaurants we grade — close to the bottom of the county. And the direction isn't reassuring: its recent inspections have been sliding, not recovering. If you want the flavor with fewer question marks, the safer-options list below maps higher-graded kitchens within a short drive.

Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Popularity and sanitation part ways on this listing. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.6, so it reads as a strength. Value for money is the next most common subject, in 24% of reviews (averaging 3.6).
The split is 18 positive to 1 negative across 21 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 14 of the 21 reviewers who rated.
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen an F (50/100), with 3 high-priority, 6 intermediate, and 8 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. That inspection was on April 27, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 2% of graded kitchens in Orange County. Among the items recorded were food from approved source.
The practical read: people enjoy eating here, and the kitchen still failed its last inspection. Those are separate claims, and only the second one gets checked by anybody. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Fun experience, but lacking flavor in the cuisine
-
The food was delicious. However, we were served hummus with no pita bread and it finally came out after we were done eating. Request for a second glass of wine never happened. It is so incredibly loud, it is impossible to hear your date or the server. Seated right by the hostess stand and there were constant loud conversations between staff happening. A table was seated near us and no server ever stopped by their table, so they left. I know it is summer time in Orlando, but I expected better service for a meal that was over $100

Food is fine, but very fun, there is dancing woman to every table at the end

Fabulous service and food

The food and drinks are very expensive for the quality. The portion sizes are small for bigger parties. Everyone might get a small sample of each offering. The staff are pretty pushy and try to rush you out of there. We ate at other places immediately after leaving the restaurant. However the atmosphere is nice and the belly dancer does a great job of making the kids have a good time. It seemed over rated to the group I was with and myself.

It's Greek it was a new experience

It’s a nice place, food was good. Expensive but worthy to taste this kind of food.

Our Father’s Day visit to Opa was disappointing. Despite being told the restaurant was fully booked, much of the dining area sat empty while 20 people were crowded into the bar. The food lacked the warmth and flavor we expected from authentic Greek cuisine, and the high prices only added to the frustration. We arrived hoping for a memorable celebration and left feeling let down by the gap between expectation and reality.

Best food option in this healthy/good food desert! Lemon chicken, hummus, kebabs, baklava all hit! Olivia at the bar was a delight. And thanks for the lively entertainment - napkin rain, belly dancers and table dancing!

Had a great time celebrating my birthday. Best falafel I've ever had. I loved the party atmosphere. Thank you to the lovely dancer in red and our adorable server for dancing with me and being so encouraging. I had a blast.

Max, the bartender, provided exceptional service. Even though the restaurant was close to closing, he made us feel welcome and ensured we had a wonderful experience. He was incredibly friendly, the cocktails were fantastic, and the food recommendation he gave me was absolutely delicious. I would definitely come back. Highly recommend this place!

Had such an amazing time here. Food was delicious.. The lamb sliders, octopus, wings, and fresh hummus and pita bread all things to try. And our server Bianca was a doll. Will definitely be back there....
