Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners rate this place well. The inspector did not. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 5.0, so it reads as a strength. How food arrives is the next most common subject, in 23% of reviews (averaging 4.7).
5 stars is the modal score, given by 22 of the 26 reviewers who rated. Of the 26 rated reviews, 24 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below.
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen a D (67/100), with 3 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 6 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. That inspection was on April 17, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 10% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination.
What to do with that is a judgement call — the reviews describe the experience, the grade describes the conditions behind it. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Puppy's are welcome! Right on the ocean. Swim up, boat up, very fun!

Hidden Treasure Rum Bar is a true gem, especially for anyone who loves fresh seafood and fish. The quality of the dishes is outstanding — everything tastes incredibly fresh and well-prepared. What really makes the place special is the atmosphere: you can enjoy your meal with a beautiful view of the river, right next to a historic lighthouse that adds a unique charm to the whole experience. Great food, relaxed vibe, and an unforgettable setting.

Good food on the beach. My fiancee really enjoyed the Cajun pasta

We had a nice lunch here after a great paddle at the inlet! Crab cake app was simple and fresh! The seafood boil in foil was a great variety and well cooked!
-
Amber was outstanding making my girly frozen drinks and was very professional and kind. Not my first time here, won’t be the last. Thanks Amber! Give her a raise!

Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, great location, great views. I really like this place. I've been coming here since 2005. It's changed a bit as hurricanes have remodelled the place more than once. It's still a really nice place to go for lunch or dinner. 👍👍🙂 Update: 2025. We enjoy coming to Hidden Treasures even more when they have Southern Souls Band playing. 👍😄😎

Great gator bites !

What a fun spot to find while exploring the lighthouse next door. The food was great and our server, Johnny, was awesome!
-
Food ok. Nice location. Restaurant is incredibly filthy and downright gross.
-
Excellent server. Knowledge of food and made food choices a win.. win.
-
Great place to sit outside and enjoy the activities on the river. Had an unusually poor Monday Fish n Chips special. Fries not hot? Fish and fries over greasy, not crispy, very disapointing today.

This is a neat place to enjoy dinner near the lighthouse. There is a playground and ice cream shop near by, which my 3 year old loved. The food was fairly average, but still good. I thought the prices for food was fair. It is next to a boat dock that you can walk on while you wait on food or after you eat. We did have to pay for parking because the lot at the restaurant is pretty small, so that is my only complaint.

It was our first time here and we were NOT disappointed! We took our 4 kids after a hot morning. Johnnie was AMAZING. He was professional, friendly and even put up with the chaos of the kids with a smile on his face!! Highly recommend the restaurant and suggest asking for Johnnie to take care of you when you visit 😀

we are local and we visit often we recommend the change of staff attire due to changes in the weather the uniforms look very hot heavy material they're always sweating . The atmosphere is beautiful it would be even much more entertaining if you had local music live bands or a better radio station and also happy hour!

Great place, I'm especially glad I had the chance to meet their front of the house manager Austin Fenner, he's so nice and all around a very nice person, and he takes his job very seriously and in a professional manner.

Absolutely wonderful experience. Food was amazing, atmosphere was great. Service was fantastic, thank you to Tatiana, our servicer, she was fantastic and made sure everything was wonderful! Will be back.
-
Tatiana was awesome and put a candle in a shrimp for my buddy robs birthday. And we also got a drink that was in a coconut and it’s also a piggy bank. The shipwreck made me feel silly and fun! God bless America.
