Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The headline average flatters this listing; the recent half does not. How guests are treated is the sore point: those reviews average 2.3. Speed of service is the next most common subject, in 26% of reviews (averaging 1.6).
1 star is the modal score, given by 8 of the 19 reviewers who rated. The split is 8 positive to 10 negative across 19 rated reviews, with 1 in the middle. Behind those, cleanliness is raised in 16% of reviews (1.0 average).
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a B (86/100) with 1 intermediate and 1 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That inspection was on June 22, 2026. On health score it sits safer than 25% of the St. Lucie County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were insects/rodents/pests and food manager certification.
The weak part of this listing is the experience, not the sanitation — those are different failures. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

DONT COME HERE SERIOUSLY DONT .this place is always having issues like for example the movie going in and out whist restarting, lights flickering, audio going out, screen being broken and the popcorn is almost always stale it’s horrible here I seriously advise avoiding this hell hole as much as possible it’s bad ok just wait for the movie to come out on demand it’s better off that way Update I went to ask about the screen and its issues and got told that “Oh yeah that’s normal that one is always like that we could try to fix it but we can’t since the move is already started” first off no it wasn’t second thing please can you tell this to a manager since I’d like to know if I can get a refund or a voucher but no she said that “ OUR MANAGER HAS NO TIME FOR PESTY CUSTOMERS EITHER GO BACK AND ENJOY THE MOVIE OR GET OUT” I’m genuinely thinking about suing this place now I got scammed for my money and yelled at acting like it’s my fault please listen to me and DONT COME TO THIS THEATER whatever you do don’t trust the good reviews they aren’t genuine I can assure you that this place is very lucky to even have anything beyond a 1.5 star rating it’s horrible I’m now going to get a refund and never again will I come back to this place I’m incredibly disappointed in the way this place treated my family

The supervisor charged me for 3D sent me to the wrong theater had me waiting over an hour just to tell me I need to move. Not only did they charge me more but are so rude and unprofessional I spent $90 to be treated rude and disrespectful

Class warfare at the movie theater. Disappointing. It's 2026, yet AMC has separate lines for members and non-members. Creating a visible divide between paying customers based on membership status feels completely out of touch. I've lived in Port St. Lucie since 2001, and I've never expected to see what feels like a segregation line just to buy a movie ticket. Next time I'll head to Regal at the mall instead. The seats are nicer anyway, and the theater feels far more updated. AMC should focus less on dividing customers and more on improving the overall experience.

Are the managers not embarrassed by the state of their theater? Does AMC corporate not care? This is truly the most disgusting theater I've ever been to. Everything is dirty. I wouldn't venture to eat any prepared food here. The marquee to the individual house didn't work. The child employees were nice and it's not their fault that the company they work for is dog water.

The General Manager is awesome 👌. My company services people with developmental disabilities and they very seldom get to experience and participate in the life of the community. But the GM of AMC gave us free tickets to let them come to the movies. He had no idea that this was the first time some of them had ever been to a theater. On behalf of Help Me Be Me Inc., and our community we say thank you for your kindness. Jacques Thompson, CEO.

Place is run down, bathrooms were poorly kept and smelly.

Quite literally the most outdated and disgusting theater I've ever been to. Chewed gum in EVERY cup holder. Floor is so sticky it takes your shoes off. The seats are grimey. I gave one star for the nice kid behind the concession stand. I want to walk out and get my money back. But my kids won't leave. NEVER coming back. The sound is horrendous. It's obnoxiously loud bass. The movie time was to start at 4:30. It's STILL not playing and it's 4:53.

The best movie theaters in the region. The movies shown there have great sound quality. I've been there more than 10 or 11 times. It is a few minutes from home.

First and last time coming here until AMC remodel this theater. Me and my friends decided to visit this AMC theater to watch Obsession since our local theater does not have this movie. When we step foot on the carpet to go to our auditorium, we immediately smell a bad odor coming from the carpet. Then when we got into our auditorium, the seats were dirty and so were the floors. How worse can this get? We waited 30+ minutes for the movie to start and during that time was just a bunch of advertisements. When the movie finally started, the picture from the projector was not bright enough and many of the scenes were too dim, especially in darker scenes. In the middle of the movie, some guy in the front row started recording a Snapchat story with his flashlight on and pointing his finger at the screen while disturbing everyone’s view of the movie. The only positive thing I can say about this theater is that the employees were very nice and the line was empty so we were able to get our tickets very quickly. Until AMC does something about this situation, I’m never revisiting this theater again.

Place needs renovations

Bad customer service The seats are not reclinable I purchased tickets online to go watch a rated R movie on the app, it didn't say anything about ID will need to be shown. I get there they asked for ID wasn't the first time watching a rated R movie there and they didn't ask for ID that time over all will never go there again

Went to go see Michael and there was NO problems it was absolutely great and I loved the theatres we got the best seats and uh yea we also got a popcorn which was amazing

I’ve never seen a movie theater that needs a time machine as much as this AMC. Not only was I denied entry at 9:45 p.m. because I lacked physical ID, even after explaining my wallet was stolen, but the place looks straight out of a horror movie itself. Old, neglected, and falling apart. this theater is in desperate need of a makeover. Save yourself the trip.

Amazing experience love going to the movies here😀

Timothy the manager was absolutely EXCEPTIONAL at handling a movie theater malfunction. He made the experience still amazing while keeping the calmest demeanor. His dedication to the best customer service is admirable and I couldn’t imagine a more competent manager. This AMC location is truly lucky to have him.

Million dollar idea. Yall should lowkey sell blankets because of how cold it gets in thetres.

Me and my partner visited AMC Port St. Lucie 14 to watch Obsession, and overall this was probably one of the weaker AMC theater experiences I’ve had. To start with the positives, parking was honestly excellent. There was plenty of availability and we were able to park very close to the entrance, which made arriving easy and stress-free. The problems started once we walked inside. Even though there appeared to be multiple employees working, there was nobody at the ticket stand to greet or assist guests. Instead, we were redirected toward concessions, which immediately made the entrance process feel disorganized. I’m an AMC Stubs A-List member and had specifically selected our seats online ahead of time. We chose seats in Row F because they were ideal for us, but when we entered the theater, our seats had somehow been changed to much farther-back seating, and the seats we originally selected didn’t even appear to exist in the theater layout. At that point, we probably could have tried to get staff involved, but after already carrying food up and down the stairs trying to figure things out, we just wanted to sit down and enjoy the movie. The concession experience itself was actually one of the better parts of the visit. My partner ordered a large drink, warmed mini cookies, and a hot dog with no issues. I ordered the street corn poppers — still one of my favorite AMC snacks — and the food itself was good. The biggest issue beyond the seating confusion was the actual theater…
