(THE) MOFONGO KING

okay so i finally tried Mofongo King and i honestly don't know why i waited so long 😭 the mofongo was SO good, perfectly seasoned, soft, not dry at all, and the carne frita on top was bussin. the vibe inside is super chill and welcoming, bachata playing in the background, staff was super friendly too. portion sizes are huge btw, i literally had leftovers for the next day lol. if you haven't been yet you're missing out from 🇵🇷

Verdaderamente exquisito un mofongo único y el churrasco ni se diga espectacular todo divino fui a comer por mi 26 aniversario de casada mi única decepción fue que no tenían Heineken ahh pero bebimos Presidente las meseras muy atentas excelente servicio lo recomiendo y el postre divinoo!!!

Don't believe the hype. My husband and I was so excited to visit. Great food presentation with no flavor let alone Puerto Rican flavor. The alcapurrias tasted like they've been fried more than once, no masa, real thin hard skin that didn't even taste like it had, plátano, guineo, malanga or calabaza. The inside meat, flavorless. Probably why they give you sauce to dip it in. No real Puerto Rican eats alcapurrias with sauces. The mofongo had this weird taste to it, like if it had mayo in it, the chicken and pork chicharrones fried with no flavor. I can truly say the best thing on my plate was the one slice of tomato and few spring mix, oh and the diet coke to was the nasty taste that was left in our mouths.

Walked in no service walked out won’t be going back. I’m glad I didint eat here I heard they aren’t Puerto Rican they are Samoans that’s why the food dosent taste right. My friend got mofungo and it was like mashed puree .she asked me to leave a review on behalf of her experience with the food.she did say they usto be good back in the day…..

Aguante un hambre grandísima para comer este decepcionante Mofongo. Si usted sabe lo que un mofongo de verdad, no volveria a pedir esto. Mas le recomiendo que compre un platano de un cost menor a $1. Y lo sancoche lo maja con un poco de ajo y ya lo tienes, muy fácil y económico. Me costo $25.

I asked for take out. Mofongo and garlic shrimp. It was horrible. The mofongo was more like Mangu a purée (mash potatoes like). They also mixed it with a ripe yellow platain so it tasted sweet not what mofongo is meant to taste. It was horrible.The shrimp was worst, almost uncooked. When I had it home I had to finish cooking the shrimp. It’s a simple dish, not likely to get it wrong but they did. I don’t recommend it and would advise anyone from eating there. Pricey too. I paid $25.68 for a dish I didn’t like.

Vine desde Orlando a comer en este restaurante y la experiencia fue muy decepcionante. Desde que llegas, exigen demasiado a los clientes para luego brindar un servicio de tan mala calidad. La comida fue entregada con el chicharrón de pollo crudo y con sangre. Lo peor es que no fue un solo plato, sino dos platos que pedimos en familia, y ambos estaban en malas condiciones. Además, el servicio fue muy deficiente. Después de hacer el viaje hasta aquí, esperaba mucho más. No recomiendo este lugar.

Chicharron de pollo mofongo was great! Tasty, juicy, and fried to perfection. The food here is delicious.

I had the best mofongo, didn't know what to expect but Im glad I went.

Food was good,there was about 4 servers but service was slow,front door mats need atencion and there was multiple flies in dinning room area.

One the greatest food I’ve had in a while. Went down to Miami from Jersey and visited them and I’ll come back for sure.

Replacing the traditional green plantains with sweet maduros gives it this unbelievable sweet and savory flavor profile that completely elevates the dish. The mofongo itself was perfectly textured not dry at all and the churrasco was incredibly tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection. The portions are generous, the food comes out fresh and hot, and the service is always welcoming. This spot definitely lives up to its name. Total hit, 10/10 recommended!
