An average is a poor summary when the underlying reviews look like this. Front-of-house tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.4 stars. Wait times is the next most common subject, in 24% of reviews (averaging 3.3).
How food arrives shows up in 16% of reviews as well, averaging 3.5. The split is 18 positive to 5 negative across 25 rated reviews, with 2 in the middle. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (17 of 25).
The kitchen graded a B (88/100) on 1 high-priority and 4 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. The visit behind that grade was April 9, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is upward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 40% of graded kitchens in Seminole County. For specifics, the last inspection cited floors, walls, ceilings clean & maintained and current license, properly displayed.
Both measures agree, which is the least complicated version of this page. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

We had the cheeseburger pizza, chick parm sub, Italian sub and the cheese steak eggrolls. Everything was great just like the reviews
-
I liked the pizza it was reasonably priced and the staff was very price to me.

Came here on a whim with my son. The pizza and cheese fries were great. We tried the in house ranch worth the .75 cents. If you want good food without breaking the bank def worth a shot. Oh and the restaurant is surrounded by nice atmosphere and has outside sitting with chill vibes.
-
Amazing as always! The food is great, the restaurant is clean, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. This is our new "go to" spot for pizza and wings!

Jersey Pizza Snob here.. 10 years in living here in FL. SLAM Pizza is the best I've found in the area. I drive 30 mins one way, passing 5× other pizza joints to pickup from SLAM. It's as close to home as your gunna get.

Great flavors & quality ingredients. Dough is hand tossed right in front of you! The chili cheese dog is like if a meatball sub & chili dog had a baby - unique but tasty. Service is fast. Ideal for takeout or dining in.

First time here was excited to try it, well very disappointed in the food, ordered a pickle, bacon ranch pie, barly any toppings no ranch flavor, pickles would have been better whole not chopped. Garlic knots were tuff, Italian sandwich was ok, the meatball sub was the best I had since being in florida by far. The white pie was lacking, it looked like a reg pizza no sauce very little garlic flavoring (almost tasted old). Very thin pizza also.

Went down there to get a couple of hot sandwiches to-go, plus the cheese steak eggrolls because, you know, they're good. Got the bag and left. Got home and realised they left out one of the two sandwiches. I went to call them and let them know what happened. I didn't even want a replacement sandwich or anything because I'm not driving back down there tonight. I literally just wanted to let them know that they missed a sandwich. Phone rings and rings and rings; No answer. I hang up and try again. Busy signal which only happens when they take the phone off the hook. I was willing to just let them know that they screwed up, and move on with life. Now, instead, I have to leave a 2-star Google review for everyone to see because they took the phone off the hook. And we have been customers since they were Mr. Z's. Very disappointed. Guess I'll just make a PB&J instead.

Ordered 2 sandwiches and egg rolls for takeout. Only one sandwich was in the order when we got home, after tipping heavily. Most likely because workers were distracted figuring out their after work logistics. When we tried to call 10 minutes later upon realizing the missing order, they put the phone off the hook after picking up and hanging up immediately. It was close to closing time, but still just not acceptable. We try to support local, and have given Slam a lot of business over many years, but this just gives Slam a bad name. Talk to your employees.

Delicious pizza and a fun atmosphere. You can watch them make your pizza or sandwich right in front of you. We got a 1/2 cheeseburger and 1/2 sausage pizza and the family devoured it. Plenty of seating outside and indoors as well. Great find!
-
Love the cheese steak. We have never had anything else, but it all looks really good.

They forgot our order,I got my refund and left

Absolutely the best pizza in Sanford! The pizza is always fresh, hot, and consistently delicious—but what really sets this place apart is the staff. They’re incredibly personable and go above and beyond to make every customer feel taken care of. I’m not sure of the names of the team working tonight (3/26), but a huge thank you to all of you for making a regular visit feel extra special. It’s service like that that keeps me coming back!

Best spot in Sanford for pizza

We went to Slam on a Saturday night March 14, the staff made us want to eat there. They were professional n respectful and fun. They enjoyed what they were doing. Kudos to the owner and the staff for such a great experience.
-
Went in to order a pizza and told them they could box it up but I’ll eat a few slices outside. After a long wait I go in and ask how much longer to discover the pizza is sitting above the oven and end up having luke warm food. Disappointing to sit down at a restaurant and get not fresh food.
-
I don't know why, but they have the best pizza in the entire Sunshine State. Fresh dough all the time, the finest tomato sauce and, probably, a very good mozzarella. Prefect combination all the time.
-
Ordered an Italian hoagie. Gentleman who took the order I believe his name was Nick went above and beyond when I asked about garlic he said he would whip something up for me and he did.
-
Great food and great service! They have a new pizza with Teriyaki and chicken is really good.
-
Worth a 30 min bike ride
-
Love this place always on point they cook the Pizza perfect all the time Sandwiches are So good !!! To and the fries are addictive!!! I get them every week sometimes twice!!!
-
I wasn't even hungry but I can't resist trying a new pizza place. Got a slice of their "meaty pizza." It was still in the oven so I had to wait for it. Even though I just ate German food a block away 30 minutes ago I wish I had gotten two slices. Five stars!
-
Fabulous wet just ate here for the first time. Love love love this place
-
I ordered a cheesesteak yesterday and it had so little steak. I have been here many times. I am hoping this not the new normal. Very disappointing.
-
Several times I’ve ordered pizza from here and I keep giving them another chance. But time after time, their pizza tases like soap. My family all agrees that it tastes like they just sprayed the ovens down with oven cleaner and forgot to wipe it out.
