ROSSI'S DINER
Direction matters as much as the letter. ROSSI'S DINER sits at a C (72/100) today, but its inspections have been getting cleaner, not messier — an improving trend a single grade can't show.
It currently ranks safer than 16% of Volusia County restaurants we grade. The most recent report (May 18, 2026) still cited 1 high-priority, 4 intermediate, and 8 basic violations, so there's room to climb. Diner rating: 4.6 from 2,240 reviews. Menus here flag options for keto and healthy diners.

Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
These 20 reviews do not converge on a single verdict. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.8, so it reads as a strength. What it costs follows at 20% of reviews, where ratings average 5.0.
Serving size shows up in 15% of reviews as well, averaging 5.0. 19 of 20 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 1 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 20.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a C (72/100) with 1 high-priority, 4 intermediate, and 8 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. That result dates from May 18, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. That puts it ahead of 16% of graded kitchens in Volusia County. What the inspector actually wrote up: cross-contamination.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Everything was great and so much food you want leave hurry

Excellent food and service. This is where the locals go for breakfast and early lunch. Be hungry. Generous portions. Highly recommend.
-
Great local place. The food was great. Their prices are very reasonable. Their wonderful staff are doting and excellent. We had the stuffed eggplant lunch special this time. It was excellent. My portion was enough for 3 meals and very inexpensive. We highly recommend this place.

This is my first experience at this diner and I am sold on the quality of the breakfast I had. All my requirements for good food were met: 1) full of flavor; 2) fair pricing; 3) portions do not skimp; 4) clean & tidy space. This family has been committed to creating great food for 32 years; that puts real love in the cooking! My partner and I will be back. I want to try more from the menu, and get a chance to eat some of the made in-house pasties and pies. 😋

The food was very good. Especially the Crepes, pancakes and the fresh strawberry syrup. My husband ordered the turkey club and it was great. We were a group of 8 and two orders were messed up. I wanted my omelette with egg whites but got regular eggs, then I ordered the blueberry pancakes without butter, got them with butter, my son ordered huevos rancheros and got something else. However, the waitress was unflustered, calm and friendly throughout our swaps, which is great. I wouldn’t have held it together :-) highly recommend. The food was excellent.
