Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
4.7 stars across 18 reviews, an F health grade — those two numbers are not describing the same visit. Where front-of-house comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.8, so it reads as a strength. Freshness and temperature follows at 22% of reviews, where ratings average 4.3.
Behind those, value for money is raised in 17% of reviews (4.7 average). The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (15 of 18). Of the 18 rated reviews, 17 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below.
The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen an F (58/100) on 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 12 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. The visit behind that grade was January 14, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. Ranked against Brevard County, it is safer than 4% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited food from approved source and cross-contamination.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Florida Institution — Don't Miss It! Dixie Crossroads is the real deal. From the moment you sit down and those hot, golden corn fritters hit the table, you know you're in for something special. They're complimentary, addictive, and the perfect way to kick off a meal. The rock shrimp are legendary for a reason — sweet, tender, and cooked to perfection. You can tell the seafood is fresh; sourced right from Port Canaveral, it shows in every bite. I ordered the shrimp combo and couldn't stop eating. Portions are generous without feeling excessive. The atmosphere is warm and unpretentious — exactly what a classic Florida seafood restaurant should be. The staff was friendly and attentive, making the whole experience feel welcoming from start to finish. If you're visiting the Space Coast or passing through Titusville, this place is a must. It's been a staple since 1983 and it's easy to see why. Highly recommend!

Food has always been pretty good. Been about the same for 40 years, except the prices. Service, recently, has been very good.

First time I’ve had rock shrimp and I think I prefer them - tasty with Canaveral and Old Bay Seasoning combined. The free corn fritters were too delicious to pass up; my willpower was no match.

Steak was horrible! Shrimp was rubber. I dont think we will be back. This place has went down sadly.

If you are looking for shrimp this is the place for you. The place was packed and the service was still great. I was expecting long waits for seating and food but it was all very coordinated and everyone was very helpful.

The last 2 times I went the food was subpar. This time inedible. The fish was dry and tasteless, looked old. The rock shrimp were small and bland. Fries were greasy. The broccoli seemed like it was standing awhile. And even my granddaughter who is 8 said the corn fritters were yucky.

Excellent experience, it was our first time and not only did I love the food, the service was wonderful, Alexander was our waiter, very professional.
