Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The recurring subject in this corpus is the staff, not the food in general. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 5.0 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
Of the 21 rated reviews, 20 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on the state of the room at all. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (19 of 21).
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (85/100), citing 1 high-priority and 7 basic violations. The visit behind that grade was April 6, 2026. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 30% of the restaurants we score. For specifics, the last inspection cited dishwashing facilities and storage & handling of clean equipment and utensils.
With both signals pointing the same way, there is little to argue about on this listing. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Great spot and location! The food was really amazing. The atmosphere is for those looking to be seen. Very crowded and loud. Tables are packed in so you are not comfortable because you are literally touching the next table or person at the next table. In spite of the lack of space, the good makes up for it.

The best brunch at winter park. The food is incredible, the service is great, just go with time because there is a line but is worth it

My wife and I have been meaning to come for a bit. Incredible! Jean-Baptiste made the experience top notch with his great recommendations and hospitality. Prob the best brunch spot in the winter park area. Will be coming back

We got in so quickly even tho there was a long line. The food was so good. Everything was amazing we cleaned our plates. Someone that wasn’t our waiter over heard us asking if there was something that was sugar free. And the other waiter offered sugar free syrup for our pancakes which was so kind. Everything was so wonderful. Especially the butter pancakes! Man they were so good.

Great Brunch & Dining Spot Large portions. Great service. Great dish presentation and tastes good. They also have a great menu selection. If you have not been, the Briarpatch is definitely worth a visit. I had the Brown Rice Bowl, well balanced and nice combination of flavors. 👌

Had a fantastic experience here for a weekend brunch. The Rock Shrimp Po’ Boy was absolutely delicious, packed with flavor and perfectly prepared. The Banana Walnut Pancakes were some of the best pancakes I’ve ever had—light, fluffy, and full of great banana and walnut flavor. I also enjoyed the Banana Mocha Latte, which was the perfect complement to the meal and a unique twist on a classic coffee drink. The food, atmosphere, and overall experience made for an excellent brunch outing. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a great breakfast or brunch spot in Winter Park. Definitely a place I’ll be returning to. Pro tip make sure to make reservations.

Food was delicious. Very tight seating and tables. Service was ok but it was busy. All in all would def go back.
-
This place was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have had in the recent past. Very low-key fancy as far as atmosphere, but the food was on a whole other level! Huge portions, creative dishes, incredible service, and reasonable prices. This is on my repeat list, for sure!

I come to Jacksonville, Florida to visit my family once or twice a year. At least one of those times, we drive to Orlando just to go to Briar Patch. The food is delicious and Camila is the absolute best. We usually call to see if she is there to determine which day we plan to go. For this trip, I was holding out until we thought she was back from vacation and she was there. I was TOO excited. She is so kind and sweet. She does everything to make our visit memorable. I do want to mention that I'm SO excited to see that they brought back the Pecan Pie French Toast. We have NEVER had anything from the kitchen that has not been FABULOUS. Thanks Camila, for making the 2+ hour trip totally worthwhile today!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a wonderful breakfast experience. The cinnamon roll was fresh, soft, and absolutely delicious. The lemon ricotta pancakes were light, fluffy, and full of flavor. We also enjoyed the fresh-squeezed orange juice and a delicious cup of coffee. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. Everything was excellent, and we will definitely be back. Highly recommended! 😊

Refusing water to dogs in a heat warning while dining outside is absurd.

This place was one of the best breakfast spots I’ve ever been to! You HAVE to get the pancakes, even if you split them with the table just to try. They will be the best pancakes you’ve ever had. I appreciate that they give you real maple syrup with them as well. Service was great and they were very nice about my baby making a mess everywhere. 10/10 breakfast spot, can’t wait to come back! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked stellar.

Great atmosphere, Great food 10/10 everytime we've visited.
-
THIS PLACE IS SO GOOD!! We had the French dip sandwich that was to DIE for and the Gruyère breakfast sandwich. Both were incredible. They also make their own ranch dressing that is soooooo amazing.
-
Jean Baptiste is a phenomenal waiter! He recommended the Gruyere Breakfast Sandwich and French Dip to us. Our happy neurons were firing non stop. So good!
