Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
The direction of travel is downward across these 19 reviews. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.3 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour. After that, wait times appears most often — 26% of the corpus, averaging 4.2.
No one in this corpus comments on how food arrives at all. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (12 of 19). 14 of 19 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 4 are two or lower.
On the health side, the most recent DBPR inspection returned a B (85/100) with 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 4 basic violations — middling, much like the reviews. The visit behind that grade was February 20, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. That puts it ahead of 30% of graded kitchens in Seminole County. For specifics, the last inspection cited nonfood-contact surfaces clean and plumbing installed & maintained.
Nothing here pulls in opposite directions — an unusually clean read. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Good food but I’m confused why there’s a sign outside that says “No Tank Tops”. I wear tank tops all of the time as I frequent the gym and I like to eat after my workout. I’ve never heard of a rule like that

Disappointing Service – Great Food but Poor Hospitality. My family and I recently visited Miller’s Ale House in Altamonte Springs, and unfortunately, the service left a lot to be desired. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait 25 minutes, which was highly confusing given that at least 40% of the tables in the restaurant were completely empty. Once we were finally seated, it took another 20 minutes for our server to approach the table, greet us, and take our initial order. While the food itself did not disappoint and tasted as good as always, the level of hospitality has noticeably declined over the last two years. To make matters worse, we hadn't even finished eating when the check was dropped off at our table without anyone asking if we needed anything else. It is truly a shame because the kitchen does a great job, but the management needs to address the subpar service. We hope to see a return to the standard of hospitality they used to provide.

Great experience with richhhhhh gave us great ideas on what to get the food was great

I came in with my granddaughter after a movie thought we were going to have a nice dinner together of course the company was good but the experience and the food well it was let's say horrible. Customer service was awful the server Yasmin had no personality could care less that we were there. It wasn't even busy at all. I ordered one order of chicken quesadilla that we were going to share and I wanted a side Caesar salad to go with it and she said that the quesadilla wasn't an entree so I couldn't get a side salad I had to buy a $9 full-size salad which I didn't want to do. Then the manager came out he wouldn't override it or take care of it basically said that's the way it is. The quesadilla came out they were flat as Pancakes there was barely any ingredients inside felt like I was biting into tortilla shells. Never ever had a problem at Miller's Ale House in Winter Park I won't be going back to the Altamonte location

Wanted to share my experience with Ale House. The Prime Burger is awesome. Was ACTUALLY cooked correctly for the very first time. (normally it's HAMMERED when I ask for mid rare). The Apopka location gets it right EVERY time..BUT and this is a HUGE BUT. I REFUSE to pay an added SURCHARGE for take out. That is OUTRAGEOUS!! We work hard for our money and I REFUSE to pay an extra $3-$4.00 for take out.. I guess that's why most of us in the neighborhood pass right by this place. Have mentioned Ale House to my neighbors and they feel the same way. (We live right off Palm Springs). Maybe you should rethink that..Just sayin... NOTE: Millers responds to all reviews but NO RESPONSE to my review... EXACTLY WHY ALL THE LOCAL NEIGHBORHOOD PEOPLE AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

The staff and manager were extremely helpful. They let me know about a delayed wait time and acknowledge me and communicated with me and everything was good. I appreciate this.

Adri served us and she was so sweet! One of the most attentive waitresses I’ve ever had.
