Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This is the pattern the site exists to surface: strong reviews, weak inspection. The staff tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.8 stars.
20 of 24 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 3 are two or lower. A third strand, pacing, appears in 17% of them at 5.0 stars. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 18 of 24.
The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen a D (68/100) on 2 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 7 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. That result dates from May 11, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 11% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: food from approved source and cross-contamination.
What to do with that is a judgement call — the reviews describe the experience, the grade describes the conditions behind it. The reviews themselves follow, unedited and newest first.

Found this local spot when visiting Daytona with my family. The food, atmosphere, and music were phenomenal!!! We will be stopping in everytime we come to town from now on.
-
It's ok. Little pricey
-
The food was delicious and arrived quickly. We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and listened to the music they had playing thru the speakers.
-
Always a great meal and great staff.

The food here is excellent and well prepared, and the service was decent for the kind of place it is. The atmosphere is meh. The outside chairs were very uncomfortable and the unfinished spray foam in the window was unsettling. Other than that pretty good experience. Go for the food.

Not good

Food was delicious!! I highly recommend checking this place out. The lengua and Carnitas tacos were extremely tender and tasty!
-
Excellent every time, might be the 'only' good mexican food in the greater Daytona/Port Orange/Ormond area

I’ve Been coming here for over a decade, it’s my number one recommendation for all of Volusia county. Still the best carnitas Mexican style hard shell tacos I’ve ever had in my life. The owners are absolutely amazing and family oriented. Just wish they’d open a location in Saint Augustine beach 🙏❤️💯😎
-
I’ll never go there again they don’t get the order right and they put stuff on the stuff when they weren’t told to order the taco salad. They put beans on it and they never done that before I ordered two orders of soft tacos and they only give me two tacos. Oh their mistake they misunderstood. They need to get their shit right

In my top 3 for best authentic Mexican restaurants, of all time!! Tia Cori’s is an experience that everyone alike should attend at least once. Luckily, I live & work right down the road, so it’s become a lifestyle for me. I highly suggest Tia Cori’s if you like real authentic Mexican cuisine. You won’t be disappointed!! 😃

Food was delicious...and staff was friendly!

Was some of the worst food I have ever eaten. Wife’s enchiladas were only tortillas with meant inside covered in queso. My chorizo was so greasy it had grease running out of the tacos. Our Birria tacos were bland and no sauce to dip. Will never go back! I had to come back and edit my review since this dump wants to argue and deny the very subpar food that we received. The girl told us we could get red sauce, green sauce, or queso on the enchiladas. And all it was was a little bit of meat wrapped in a tortilla. That’s definitely not an enchilada. The Beria tacos did not have sauce. Also being a Hispanic myself I know chorizo is greasy when you cook it but No, it shouldn’t be greasy. There are ways to get around it like draining the grease. This is by far the worst establishment that I’ve had since moving to Florida and the fact that the owner is on every review, trying to argue or discredit the reviews is insane. The right thing to do would just be to acknowledge that yes even the best restaurants mess up. Especially when they’re busy which you guys were. But the lack of accountability and the fact that they are trying to discredit these claims not only on mine, but on other reviews that I’m reading is insane and I hope they do not continue to sell subpar food very long.

We vacationed in Daytona in 2018 and tried Tia's on a whim. We ended up going back two more times on that trip. This year we picked Daytona for our vacation just so we could get Tia's Tacos. I was going to say that it's my favorite mexican restaurant in daytona, but its more like my favorite mexican restaurant in the world. The food, service, and prices are all that good! Editing to add: we went back 3 more times while on vacation. I tried everything that I could but the standout for me was a recent menu addition, the Chilaquiles. It was excellent, we are already planning our next to to Daytona just so we can have more Tia's. 2nd edit: 8 years later and Tia's is still my favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. We've been to Daytona for 4 one-week long vacations and we have dined at Tia Cori's thirteen times! We literally vacation here just to eat at Tia's. We still have a few days left on this trip so you can bet we'll be back in there before we leave. You can't find better chips and salsa anywhere, and the meals are great serving sizes for the price. The staff have always been friendly, fast and extremely helpful. If you're looking for the best Mexican food in Daytona stop on by and try Tia's.

The food is delicious but the chips and salsa are to die for!!!

Went looking for somewhere to eat last night while here in Daytona. Came across Tias and took a chance. Boy were we glad we did. The Mexican food here is EXCELLENT. The proprietors were kind and friendly and gave us great service. We are fairly picky and had travel Much of the day and we were very leery as it was fairly quiet in the area but I can’t tell you how happy and satisfied we were when we left. Excellent quality, prices, and portions! We will be back!

I need to remember to get pictures, but this place has great vegan options and is happy to veganize what they can. Good hours. Friendly employees.
