Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners writing about this place keep returning to service. Opinion on service is split — those reviews land at 3.5 on average. After that, pacing appears most often — 29% of the corpus, averaging 1.8.
One subject never comes up here: plate size. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (7 reviews). Newer reviews score better than older ones (4.3 recent against 3.5 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (86/100), citing 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 3 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on May 28, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 46% of graded kitchens in Lake County. The citations behind that grade include in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
This is a listing where the two measures each tell half the story. Everything above is computed from the 14 reviews reproduced below.

6/26/26 we do enjoy the food you get at Miller's. Husband's fav is the fish dinner & mine is the pork shanks. Low rating on atmosphere is because alway sit us in the bar. And its really loud with all tvs on.. Service is always great! A little pricey but we pay it...

Excellent dining experience. Food was good and the price was very reasonable considering today's Food prices.

We had a party of 15, our server Bri was literally AMAZING. Our drinks were always full, she never let us sit without, so very polite, attentive, friendly, made sure we all had exactly what we needed. The food was sooooooo good also, the cooks back there DID THEIR THING FORSURE ✨ all around absolutely awesome time & service.

Just left Miller’s from an early lunch for Father’s Day for my husband. We had Taylor at the bar as our server. When the food came out, I said this isn’t what I ordered. She looked and confirmed that she had put in the wrong item. So I waited while my husband ate his entire meal of Osso Buco (which he really enjoyed). Finally my husband asked if my meal was coming out. She went to the window, got my meal and gave it to me. Never asked if it was good. It wasn’t. I ate what I could and then when she gave us the bill talked about “comping” the wrong meal. I replied nothing was “comped”. “You deleted the incorrect meal”. She replied oh yeah that’s just how I say it. Anyway, I only tipped 18 percent because the service sucked and she didn’t even care. So disappointing for almost $100 all in.

Generally the food is a step above the common fast food places. This location needs serious help with food quality and especially the servers from the kitchen who bring out the food.

7 person party and no one was unhappy with their food. Service was excellent even while they were busy. The best osso bucco around, so tender.

Reminded server several times that I wanted the broccoli cheddar soup, soup of the day… it never came. And our server never came to check on us. My mother’s salad was full of brown lettuce & the food took at least 45 minutes to arrive, only for it to be subpar and incomplete. The manager comped the entire meal and sent me home with “broccoli cheddar soup”… I looked in the bag only to discover it was a cup of Mac n cheese with crackers. What a petty way to handle customer service. Will NEVER return.

Good customer service from the hire up management when a serious attention was brought to attention.

Very disappointing experience at Miller's Ale House in The Villages. We arrived for lunch yesterday looking forward to a nice meal, only to find a handwritten sign taped to the door stating they would be open "A.S.A.P." For a restaurant that is normally open for lunch, this was confusing and frustrating. There was no explanation, no estimated opening time, and no advance notice that we could find. Seeing a handwritten note on the door during normal lunch hours felt unprofessional and left customers guessing whether the restaurant would open in minutes, hours, or not at all that day. I understand that unexpected situations happen, but better communication would have been appreciated. After making a special trip for lunch, we ended up having to find another restaurant. Hopefully management can improve how they communicate closures and delays to customers in the future.

Food was ok. Everytime I go service sucks! Thought the boom boom shrimp was good when I had one so I ordered as a meal. It was too much for me taste wise as a meal. Had the ribs last time because I heard they were the best. I disagree.

Delicious drinks and food, excellent service as well from Austin. :)
