Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
One subject runs through these 24 reviews more than any other: front-of-house. Where the staff comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength. Plate size follows at 33% of reviews, where ratings average 4.3.
18 of 24 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 2 are two or lower. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 16 of 24. Whether food comes out hot shows up in 29% of reviews as well, averaging 4.1.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a C (74/100), citing 3 high-priority and 2 basic violations. That result dates from January 12, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 12% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. What the inspector actually wrote up: food from approved source and cross-contamination.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. The underlying reviews are reproduced in full underneath.

I was so excited to try this restaurant based off so many good reviews but I was not impressed at all. Everything we tried here was flavorless. I think there are many other places at Disney Springs to eat we will not be back.

We came to celebrate my wife 27th birthday, and this turned out to be one of the highlights of our Disney trip! From the moment we walked in, everything was exceptional. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and just a genuinely happy place to be. After spending hours in the Florida heat, we were pretty tired, but our server, Giuseppe, completely turned our day around. He was incredibly kind, warm, attentive, and genuinely cared about making our experience special. His positive energy lifted our spirits and made us enjoy every minute of our meal. Truly one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time. We ordered the burger, the chicken sandwich, and the famous pot roast. Every single dish was delicious, but the pot roast absolutely lived up to the hype—it was outstanding. The portions are huge, making this a great place to share plates with family or friends. We also really appreciated how accommodating the kitchen was with every modification we requested. A special thank you as well to Jose, the manager, for helping create such a welcoming experience. It’s clear the team takes pride in what they do. Between the incredible food, generous portions, outstanding service, and wonderful atmosphere, this was an easy five-star experience. We can’t recommend this place enough, and it will definitely be one of our first stops the next time we’re at Disney Springs. Thank you for making this birthday so memorable!

Always the best Disney Springs dining experience! Stellar cocktails and out of this world fried chicken!!

Jennifer'Lynn was fantastic! The managers were also aware and attentive during the storm. The fried chicken salad was delicious!

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' is my favorite restaurant at Disney Springs, and it's not even close. I've celebrated Father's Day here for the last two years. I've come here for my birthday. I already have plans for a visit when my family gets here in two weeks. Obviously, the food is phenomenal. I usually get Art's Famous Fried Chicken, which they say is Buttermilk-brined for 24 hours then and then flash fried. I have a severe shellfish allergy, and they're always very cautious. No matter who the server or floor manager is. Typically, it's served with creamy mashed potatoes, but I usually swap it out with Momma's Mac and Cheese. I've also had the Smothered Chicken, Bee Haven Fried Green Tomatoes, and the Skilled-fried Chicken Paillard, which is what most of the staff recommends as their favorite dish. And you always have to get a cheddar drop biscuit. That's a non-negotiable. This restaurant is very popular and often gets quite busy, so I recommend to make a reservation as soon as you're ready. But the busyness of the restaurant won't matter once you take a bite. The food is the ambiance and changes everything. Just trust me.

Located in Disney Springs, Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ serves generously big portions of Southern comfort food. The mashed potatoes were creamy, while the country fried steak and fried chicken were crispy and well-executed. The meal became a little gelat after a while due to the richness. Recommend to make a reservation before coming.

My husband and I had reservations on Sunday 2026 Father's Day for brunch at 9.45 a.m.. We arrived about 10 minutes early and we're promptly seated. One thing that we did not know and we had researched this pretty good. But they allowed us to get off the breakfast or the lunch menu. We had read and watched on YouTube that you had to do either or if you went early but they allowed us to do both. Right off the bat the music was so loud along with the voices of the people that we could not talk to each other. We were waited on by a wonderful lady who did a great job. Food came out reasonably fast. We started with their famous biscuits. And they were absolutely horrible. Very, very dry with a powerful baking soda taste. My husband got the donuts, fried chicken and creamed potatoes meal. The chicken was probably the best chicken we've had in 7 years of being in Florida. The donuts were okay and the cream potatoes were fair. I had a child's plate. You don't have to be a certain age and the serving was large. It came with scrambled eggs, fruit and the special potatoes that have the corn flakes on top. I didn't care for the corn flakes but the potatoes themselves were delicious as was the fruit. My eggs were fine. For dessert we had the shine cake which came with ice cream and. It was very good and my husbands favorite thing. So our experience was 50/50. It was so loud you couldn't even hear yourself think and half of our food was really good and half of it wasn't. But the waitress…

Chef Art Smith's Homecomin was outstanding! The fried chicken was the best I've ever had, the deviled eggs were incredible, and the shrimp & grits were a true Southern classic. Honestly, everything on the menu looked amazing. Highly recommend!

Service was wonderful and our hostess Tara was excellent and so was the manager that made sure our daughter was taken care of with her allergies of nuts and fish. They really take the time out with their customers to show they really care. We will definitely come back and I strongly recommend!!! Keep up the excellent work ethic, customer service care and kudos to the kitchen chef.

The atmosphere is cute, I love how you can see the water outside when sitting by the windows. And our server was very nice. The food was… ok. The price definitely doesn’t match up to the quality. My skillet fried chicken plate didn’t have much flavor, other than the sauce which was just ok. The Mac and cheese was good and so was the chicken sandwich. The fried chicken is chicken thighs, which we were told about in advance, but personally we should’ve picked something else. I did like the doughnuts. We also had half portioned of deviled eggs. Which had a strong taste of vinegar and mustard.

Legitimately one of the best dining experiences we have had at any Disney World location. Food was 10/10, atmosphere was fun and upbeat, and our server (Tiana) was amazing and didn’t steer us wrong. We will come back every time we visit Disney World.

While on vacation in Orlando we stopped at Disney Springs and ate at this restaurant. We booked a reservation a few weeks prior to dine here. I ordered the Fried Chicken entrée with Mashed Potatoes, Mac & Cheese and Greens. The food portions were generous. The food was okay but, it does not taste like traditional Southern Cooking or Soul Food. The Fried Chicken was crispy, but it lacked flavor. The chicken and breading was basic which was disappointing since this restaurant supposed to be Southern-style cooking. The Mac & Cheese was cooked perfectly but they used white cheddar cheese instead of traditional cheeses that most people are familiar with. The Greens were okay but they did not have much flavor either and they tasted like Turnip Greens which is not my favorite. The biscuit was delicious. The waiter were very attentive, nice and professional. The restaurant manager was professional and came by to check on the customer's satisfaction of the food and service. I love how immaculate, meticulous and clean the entire restaurant was. Overall, we enjoyed our visit but the food needs improvement if they want to fulfill the Southern-style cooking they advertise.

Absolutely delicious food! Friendly staff as well. Portions are HUGE can definitely be shared!

Every time I visit Orlando, a stop at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ is a must. Their famous fried chicken and donuts never disappoint and are one of my favorite meals in the area. This Father’s Day, I enjoyed another wonderful meal with my family, and everything was as good as I remembered. Great food, generous portions, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere make this one of our favorite restaurants in Orlando. Highly recommended! 🍗🍩😊

I am not sure what all the hype is about. The chicken wasn't very flavorful. It wasn't dry so that is a plus. The biscuits were oversized, but dry. The sauces and gravy were the stars of this menu. The service was wonderful. No complaints there. The place looks like it could use a good wipe down. Bathrooms were dirty and unkempt. No seat covers, trash can overflowing, dirty floors feminine trash can falling off the wall.

I just wanted southern comfort food and saw the chicken paillard and knew I had to come here. This restaurant is in Disney Springs and parking is free. I ordered the chicken paillard and replaced the potatoes with the broccolini. The chicken was cooked well, but the sauce was just ok. The side dishes were good. I also had the white peach sangria which was so flavorful and delicious, even while eating outside and the ice was melting, the drink didn’t taste watered down— it is on the sweet side. My companion had the fried chicken and donuts and it was deliciously seasoned. You can select white or dark meat or a combination. The dish came with mashed potatoes which were delicious. Donuts were fresh and soft and didn’t have the after taste of oil that sometimes comes with donuts. The Hummingbird cake with pineapple and banana cake was a disappointment after such a good meal and probably knocks odd half a star. It was more banana tasting and the icing was a stiff and sugary sweet icing rather than the cream cheese frosting advertised. Despite the dessert, we would definitely return, but skip the dessert.

We had an amazing meal at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’! We started with the hush puppies and deviled eggs, and both were absolutely delicious. For our entrees, we tried the country fried steak, meatloaf, and smothered fried chicken. Every dish was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and tasted like true comfort food. One thing that really stood out was the portion sizes—everything was generously served, and we definitely left full and satisfied. The food was fresh, hearty, and packed with flavor. If you’re looking for a great Southern-style meal with large portions and tasty dishes, Homecomin’ is definitely worth a visit!

Every time we come to Disney Springs we try to see if we can get seating at homecoming. The food is always excellent and the service is top-notch. This past time we had Erika, Allison, and Nicole at the bar. They were so funny and personable. A definite must-try.

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. We traveled all the way from Maryland and made our reservation nearly two months in advance because dining here was one of the experiences we were most looking forward to during our trip. We walked over a mile to get to the restaurant, only to be told upon arrival that they could not serve us due to a power outage. What made the situation even more frustrating was watching other guests continue to be seated and served while we were turned away. Had we been notified in advance or treated consistently with other guests, we would have understood that unexpected circumstances happen. Instead, after planning ahead, traveling a long distance, and making the trek to the restaurant, we were left feeling overlooked and extremely disappointed. We understand that power outages are beyond a restaurant’s control, but communication, consistency, and customer service are not. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression and was a disappointing part of what was supposed to be a special vacation.

Decent brunch a little over priced but big portions. Also was very loud.
