Sorted by date, these 22 reviews trend upward. Reviews mentioning service average 3.5 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. Tidiness follows at 36% of reviews, where ratings average 4.0.
10 of 16 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 5 are two or lower. Behind those, how long an order takes is raised in 27% of reviews (2.3 average). If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (9 reviews).
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a C (77/100), citing 1 high-priority, 3 intermediate, and 6 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on March 23, 2026. I had a slight inconvenience due to timing of last call at the bar. They went above and beyond to make it right for me. I appreciate the staff here . Hotel is very nice, clean and very.comfortable. Thanks Marriott team.

I am unsure if they have had an entire staff turnover or what but we have stayed at this location many times over the years and the last 2 times have been downright AWFUL(not the only one in our group to say this either)!! Stayed last weekend. Addressed an issue in person on Friday as it was happening regarding a charge on my card. Assured it would be handled in the AM Sat by management by 2 nice ladies (front desk/bar). Continued to receive attempts to charge my card (the amounts kept changing which is the weirdest part and no one knows why). Left Sunday (problem still happening @ checkout). Waited till Monday thinking - someone from mgmt would be in and surely would handle. All day Monday nope - just more attempts at charging my card. Midnight / 4 am and all other awful hours. Bank reaches out due to fraud and stops my card (which creates another headache). Called Tuesday to speak to someone front desk employee told me I talk too much when trying to explain they have charged my card for something I was not responsible for. Later Tuesday got Josh was assured he would handle. Waited all day Wednesday giving more grace. Called Thursday morning at 715 was placed on hold for over 30 mins. Called at 2 and was placed on hold for over an hour. Called again got Josh (told me he had been out sick for a few days (LIES again cause I talked to you on Tuesday...) to inquire about my refund. Still waiting on Thursday almost 7 days later after MULTIPLE employees said it would be handled.…

Great location and comfy rooms, but the walls are a bit thin and the bathroom wasn't spotless. Still, a solid stay for the price. Would book again!” – Amy

I have been coming to this hotel twice a year for the past 5 years for my conferences. They NEVER disappoint! The rooms are always clean, room service is great, and the staff are not only professional, they remember our names, and give service with a beautiful smile. Special thank you to Daniel, Rizalina, and Joeliz who made every breakfast and dinner feel amazing. And to Jay near the front desk, who will give you a ride, deliver water, or just greet you with a smile and amazing conversation. This hotel is the best!

Great location near I-4. Very clean and awesome staff.

Had the pleasure of staying here and was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were clean and updated. We arrived late and were quite tired and frustrated but received such great service from Jeff, who made us feel so welcomed. Would definitely stay here again!

The hotel itself is great…rooms are nice, staff goes above and beyond especially the shuttle driver, and the location is convenient but the breakfast buffet feels like a scam at the price. The omelette station is great but the service and food quality minus that is subpar, would never pay for the buffet at this hotel again

It is more than a Marriott Hotel; it is a complex with 6 or 7 different specialty restaurants and meeting rooms that can accommodate a very large convention. |All the staff are knowledgeable and courteous. The one member who stood out was the Bell Captain, Jay Balanay, who I haven't seen for over a year, but he addressed me like I was an old friend. This kind of touch means a lot!

Jay Balanay was very professional, offered excellent service. He is a great asset to your company

Chris at the front desk is the MAN! Above and beyond customer service. He took a hard situation we were in as a large group and made it easy. Fantastic location. We will be Back! Thank you Chris and Marriott!

The hotel is in a great, safe location that is walkable to many restaurants. The lobby is beautiful. The staff were all very kind. This place has a lot of potential however they severely drop the ball on cleanliness. The rooms are large and well designed but they simply are not well kept or cleaned properly. Upon arrival to my room I noticed hair on the counter and sink which I ended up just wiping down with a Clorox wipe. The toilet clearly has not been cleaned in some time and had limescale stains and hair in it. I was tired after a long day of traveling so I went downstairs to eat. Once back in my room I went to get in bed only to discover short brown hairs all under the pillows. I do not believe this room was cleaned and the bed was just made prior to my arrival. I called the front desk where they switched my room. I was concerned about switching rooms to the same floor because I figured it was the same cleaning crew. I was ensured the next room would be clean and I was given a key card for my new room. The bathroom appeared to be much cleaner so I was happy until I went to get into the bed. There was much more hair on these sheets than the other room. Human hair, dog hair, and also neon green Synthetic hair like from a wig. I called downstairs and asked if someone could just send me clean sheets and I would make the bed myself. A staff member knocked on the door and shoved balled up sheets into my arms. I brought them into the room and it appeared they had just been…

Jay Balanay, the Bell Captain was AMAZING as was LaDanny Stevens at the front desk. Both of them went ABOVE and BEYOND to answer all questions we had. Made us feel very welcomed and took the time to chat with us. Will definitely be a k when we come down again!

I’m very disappointed with my experience at the Marriott hotel. My husband checked out on April 19 and paid the bill, but after reviewing the charges, I noticed we were charged for items from the bar that we never used. The only thing we had was breakfast on the day we checked out.||We went back to the front desk and spoke with Barnaby. At that time, our Uber was already waiting to take us to the airport. He apologized and promised to fix the issue and email us. A couple of hours later, he emailed us showing a balance of $0 instead of the corrected actual amount. I honestly thought maybe he made a mistake or felt guilty because of how the situation was handled.||What made the experience worse was that while we were waiting at the hotel, he disappeared behind closed doors for about 15–20 minutes until another staff member had to call him for us.||A few days later, I checked my American Express statement and saw that instead of $0, the hotel charged the full incorrect amount again.||We tried calling multiple times to resolve this. The front desk staff kept giving us different stories. First they said Barnaby was available and put us on hold repeatedly for nearly two hours. Later another employee told us he had already left for the day. We also tried reaching accounting and experienced the same thing — being put on hold with no response.||This was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I will never stay at this hotel again.

Love it all about this place

My husband is a Titanium Marriot member. He stays at this hotel often. He accidentally left his glasses at the hotel today (after a 3 night stay) and when he called to ask the hotel to locate and send his glasses, they refused to help him. He called back a little later and had the same experience. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. How could someone not have the courtesy or decency to help someone find their glasses? Shame on Marriott Lake Mary.

We’ve now hosted our event here for three consecutive years and are already planning to return next year. The staff consistently makes the process effortless, adapting quickly when needed to ensure a seamless conference experience for our guests. Each year, we look for ways to improve and ask for input and every year, they deliver. Thank you for your continued support and partnership.

Stayed 2 nights wish I could say enjoyed myself but hair was in sheets of different people they changed the sheets for me then I discovered mold in comforter later on plus went to use iron for my clothes it spewed out bunch of white specks that made me itchy I guess they don’t keep up with cleanliness at hotel the food is alright and expensive the drinks are only thing worth money the staff are friendly and not hotel fault but the room next door can hear there tv so didn't really get best sleep and also parking is 10 dollars so expect small fees for everything and 300 dollar refundable charge

Ambassador with Marriott. Perks are nice. I can not believe the NEW gm at this Marriott property is allowed to tear apart the guests and employees the way he is.||Stayed here for three nights EVERY year for the last 10 years..||||Cheap, Cheap gm has eliminated soft drinks and water in the club lounge!||Cheap, Cheap gm is now charging $10 per night for parking which is not stated prior to check out. Get your bill and the fee, plus tax is buried under other charges. This parking lot is used by other hotels as well as other businesses that DON'T charge for parking.||||Cheap, Cheap gm has eliminated snacks in the club lounge.||||Cheap, Cheap gm has irritated so many long term employees they have left and moved on to other properties.||||According to two employees I spoke with, both state the gm looks for issues to cause problems.||||STAY AT THE WESTIN OR THE HILTON

We had a great experience with Orlando Marriott Lake Mary. Staff was outstanding. Room was spotless! Want to give a shout out to Norman, the security guard. He was the highlight if our trip!!!
