Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Read the reviews alone and you would never guess the grade. Reviewers who mention front-of-house rate this place 4.9 on average — it is working in the restaurant’s favour.
Of the 24 rated reviews, 23 sit at four stars or better and 1 at two or below. No one in this corpus comments on value for money at all. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (20 of 24).
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen an F (37/100), with 6 high-priority, 4 intermediate, and 3 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. The visit behind that grade was April 17, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. On health score it sits safer than 0% of the Volusia County restaurants we grade. For specifics, the last inspection cited food from approved source.
The practical read: people enjoy eating here, and the kitchen still failed its last inspection. Those are separate claims, and only the second one gets checked by anybody. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

Food was really good with large portions. We were seated as soon as we arrived. Waiter mixed up the order but I think he was new and didn’t write down the order. No worries. I ordered chicken piccata but got chicken parm. I didn’t mention it as the chicken parm was my second choice and didn’t want him to get into trouble if I sent it back. He was attentive and is still learning. Temperature of the restaurant was a little warm but we are experiencing a big heat wave and the wood fired oven make it hard to keep the room cool. I will definitely eat here again.

Great food!

Enjoyed the best strambolli I've had in years! And the homemade sauce was great!
-
I ordered the Veggie wood fired pizza with sausage, what a soggy mess. I had high hopes for the place. I’ve been searching for great wood fired pizza this place doesn’t have it. The search continues…

Wow NSB. If you haven't been here go Wed- Sunday for some good food and Great service. We went for our 1st time last night and blown away. Food was good but we loved being at the outside bar with Mike "triva Mike". He has got to be the best one around. He funny and I don't think it would be the same without that personally. I asked him what days he worked and that's why I say Wednesday -Sunday. Go see this man and enjoy his awesome personality. Thank you for being awesome Mike Thanks Baci for having such great Staff

This place is really good. The food is great, but the bartender is amazing. This is what brings us back. The outside bar is the best!

We love Mike. We really enjoy his company and his trivia!

One of our favorite places.

Ok so if you want a small town Italian restaurant this is the place. The food is amazing authentic and home made. We always eat at the Tiki Bar. It’s always fun outside meaning new people and making friends. As the food is your grandmothers home cooking. The best thing about this place is Mike at the bar. We call it Mikes Tiki Bar. Mike makes it a great experience with his knowledge and funny quotes. Come see this man. He’s here most nights. Not Monday or Tuesday.

The best Italian restaurant in New Smyrna. They treat you like family and the wood fired pizza is truly artisan and the best on the east coast

Awesome atmosphere, great food and the best service! Shout out to Preston and Kylie! Food was amazing!

This place was a great find! They serve 12" wood fired pizzas that are incredible! They had a pet friendly outdoor area and our server, Apple was wonderful and even shared some pics of her pups. The inside gives you a old school vibe with the photos and such. We will definitely be back...

Great meatball. Great pizza. Great clams. Impressively friendly staff. This is the type of place where you come to the realization that the beach is open at night thanks to the hard work and dedication of the staff, salute the ones who serve.

This was a superlative experience. My wife and I arranged dinner for 21 immediate family members. I cannot praise the staff enough. Our server Emily, handled us, all. All the meals were served at the correct temperature. We ordered appetizers, pizza, calzone, pasta, and desserts. We were all extremely pleased with the taste, quality, and portions. Emily was definitely the star of the show, assuring that every thing arrived without a mistake. It is rare to find a server that can cover a group this large. She is a credit to Baci’s. We have eaten here before, and would not hesitate to return. The kitchen did and outstanding job, preparing a feast for such a large group, and having everything appear at the table at the same time.

We had an incredible experience at Baci’s in New Smyrna Beach while celebrating my mom’s birthday! We had a large party of 25+ people, and no other restaurant in the area was willing to accommodate us with a reservation (since it was the last weekend of bike week). Baci’s went above and beyond by reserving their entire outside patio and bar area just for our group, which made the celebration feel really special. Our server, Preston, was absolutely amazing. He took individual orders from everyone in our large party with patience and a great attitude, and somehow managed to deliver all of the food quickly and perfectly. His energy and excitement made the whole experience even better. The food was fantastic—everything came out fresh, hot, and exactly as ordered. It’s not easy to serve a group our size, but the staff handled it flawlessly. We’re so grateful for how accommodating and welcoming they were. I would absolutely recommend Baci’s to anyone visiting New Smyrna Beach. 10/10 experience!
