ANH HONG RESTAURANT

ANH HONG RESTAURANT is a 4.8-star room with a D-grade kitchen — the kind of gap a star rating will never warn you about, which is the whole reason this page exists.

That D comes from 3 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 12 basic violations cited on April 15, 2026. It currently ranks safer than 4% of Orange County restaurants we grade — close to the bottom of the county. And the direction isn't reassuring: its recent inspections have been sliding, not recovering. If you want the flavor with fewer question marks, the safer-options list below maps higher-graded kitchens within a short drive.

What diners say — our read

Diners rate this place well. The inspector did not. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 5.0, so it reads as a strength.

24 of 24 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 0 are two or lower. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up.

Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen a D (61/100), with 3 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 12 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. That inspection was on April 15, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 4% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination.

Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Really good. We will definitely be back.

Anh Hong is a culinary gem that consistently delights with its vibrant, authentic flavors. With a perfect track record over numerous visits, it's evident that this restaurant truly stands out in the culinary landscape. The inviting atmosphere enhances the dining experience, while the exceptional customer service elevates it even further. The owner often makes it a point to personally greet guests and, on occasion, takes their orders herself, adding a warm, personable touch to every visit.

Hidden gem! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was excellent. Great atmosphere, fair prices, and every dish was flavorful. Definitely worth trying if you’re in Orlando. Highly recommended!

I’m a big fan of Vietnamese food, and this place is next level. Its been there for 30 years, so the menu is well rounded with so many options. I tried a rice crepe with minced pork and mushrooms inside for an appetizer, and a bun bowl with spring rolls & veggies. Girlfriend got a chicken curry bun bowl and a side of spring rolls. Everything was fresh, great textures, and delicious flavors. So glad we tried a new place, right next to Mills Market and Zaru.

I'm surprised at how great the food was. It was flavorful and definitely tasted fresh. Every dish tasted authentic, and the ingredients were clearly high quality. The staff was welcoming and attentive. I'll be back again lol

The place is amazing, def a local favorite now. I’ve had some original HCMC food in the past and this place is just as authentic as the reviews suggest. Despite being extremely busy; the hostess and staff were very kind and generous with their time in answering questions and providing solid recommendations.

As a Vietnamese girl, I can tell you that this Vietnamese food tastes the most authentic in Orlando. I ate here with my family, we are visiting from California. It tastes homemade just like my Vietnamese grandmas cooking. The ambience was good as well, and the service was quick and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this as an authentic Vietnamese place with very flavorful dishes.

The best authentic Vietnamese food. We ate the Vietnamese Canh Chua n CA Kho was yummy 😋

  • June 22, 2026

it has been way too long since i have had good and authentic pho in FL as a viet person. so so so good. it hit the spot even if it was 100 degrees out

From one Viet girlie to the next, the food and space is always authentic and the service was as expected. The place was packed so the service was a little on the slower side, but nonetheless the staff was so sweet and the food is always delicious! ✨️🫰

We were able to find parking at the lot behind the building, but it is small and can get packed. Anyways, their menu is HUGE and extensive. I was in awe at what they have because it felt like you can find literally every Vietnamese dish here. Anyways, we dined in, and this is what we ended up ordering: ♡ Goi Cuon Tom. 9/10! The goi cuon were very fresh and good! My bf enjoyed this one the most. I liked the peanut sauce, and I thought it was delicious and reminiscent of my family’s version. ♡ Bun Bo Hue Anh Hong. 7/10! This was pretty good! It had plentiful meat, and the broth was spicy just how I like it, and the portion was huge. Also, they have chili oil on the side if you want more spice! ♡ Mi Vit Tiem. 8/10! My bf ordered this because he wanted to try duck for the first time, and he thought it was tasty but very rich. The noodles were good, and he liked it! ♡ Che Thai. 6/10! I was a little disappointed in this drink. For the price, I expected there to be more toppings like the green jelly and the red seeds. Instead, it seem like there was just jackfruit and longan (?). It was mostly just coconut milk. ♡ Fresh Sugar Cane Juice. 8/10! My bf ordered this, and he thought it was good and refreshing. It was very sweet though, but the ice helped dilute it. 。 ₊°༺❤︎༻°₊ 。 FINAL VERDICT: This is a great restaurant if you want to try out different Vietnamese foods/drinks all in one at a good price. Service was good too. The only thing I dislike is that parking is tough to find…

    Amazing service

  • June 20, 2026

This is our favorite place for pho and vermicelli noodle bowls and Cindy is always nice to my family. Thank you!

  • June 20, 2026

The best vietnamese food I ever ate in America. I'm live in vietnam for 10 year so you can tell this is really good!

  • June 19, 2026

Steam roll with pork was really good. Chicken wings were good also.

  • June 17, 2026

This place has been a consistent go-to for a decade and a half. Easily eaten here dozens of times. Emblematic of the excellent Vietnamese restaurant cuisine available here in Orlando. This is my favorite spot for Bánh Xeo, as well as the pork, shrimp, and papaya salad. Pho Tai is good, too. Really not a bad meal to be had here. Love the Bun Cha Gio Thit Nuong - grilled pork and spring roll vermicelli. Don't remember a better one in town. Your trip will be better if you park in the back because, just for a brief moment, as you wend through the short alley, you imagine yourself in a back street in Vietnam. It's a grittier arrival. It’s ritual at this point. I refuse to park in the front. Besides coming in the back door always feels more like you’re…an insider. You’re not. I’ve eaten here over three dozen times and they don’t know my name. It’s not that kind of joint. The kind of joint it is, however, is one that puts out consistently great, authentic, tried and true Vietnamese food. You come, you eat, and then you leave. Perhaps sleepy, but always satisfied. Several items on the menu you will not find anywhere else. And if you do, it’s most likely better here. The Banh Uot Thit Nuong is the best appetizer on the menu.
