Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
57% of reviews here touch on service, more than any other theme. Service cuts both ways here, averaging 3.5 among the reviews that raise it. Pacing is the next most common subject, in 33% of reviews (averaging 3.4).
Older reviews score better than newer ones (3.3 recent against 3.9 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (9 reviews). Freshness shows up in 19% of reviews as well, averaging 2.5.
The inspection lands in between as well: DBPR graded this kitchen a B (83/100), citing 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 6 basic violations. DBPR last walked in on February 26, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is improving, which argues for giving it the benefit of the doubt. On health score it sits safer than 25% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include dishwashing facilities and wiping cloths.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Everything above is computed from the 21 reviews reproduced below.

It is no more the place, it used to be. One hour to get the food. No refills of coffee or water ever. Cold food served , still was with missing items and the worst service possible. I would not give a single star if possible.

Lobster omelette was amazing. Best omelette I’ve had in a while. Highly recommend! Very kind staff at the bar too. Simone and Tyler were great. Definitely coming back.

Stopped in after our flight for breakfast. Crab cake Benny and the salmon Benny were both great, but salmon could have been better. Bloody Mary was bland except for the overabundance of pepper in it. Overall, good deal for the price.

Haven’t even been seated yet and the customer service is terrible. Basically the hostess call us a liar. For party’s over 7 the website says call to get on the waitlist. I called they didn’t answer the phone. The hostess said they been answering. I showed then the call log and it showed I attempted to call several times. I spoke to the manager about the issue no help. It seems that the hostess is stonewalling on purpose. I also went to the bar for coffee. They have no cups for coffee.

We were told the wait would be 10 to 15 minutes, but we ended up waiting half an hour. When we were finally seated, we noticed several empty tables in different parts of the restaurant. Once the food arrived, the server never came back to the table to check if everything was okay or to offer soda refills. Additionally, after we finished, they didn't bring the check; we had to signal a server to get it for us. This is our second visit, and the service was terrible; judging by other reviews we’ve read, they still have the same problem.

Fantastic. I saw that this place was New Orleans themed so wanted to check it out. Taz was a great server. I had the Bourbon Street pancakes and I tried the beignets as well. Both of these were AWESOME. It was a lot of food and I did not finish everything. Also, Taz brought me a different drink when I asked, which made the experience SO much better. Great place and definitely recommend.

A unfortunately very mediocre meal. My wife was hankering, shrimp and grits, and we wanted someplace to go to celebrate my new job, so we chose here. We started with a half order of beignets, which we're very good. My wife got the shrimp and grits. My kid got the double bacon cheeseburger, and I got the hash brown eggs benedict. I had been here before and was familiar with the restaurant. This was the first time for my wife and kid. Unfortunately for my wife, her shrimp and grits had a hair that she discovered about 3/4 through the dish. Up until that point, it was a really tasty shrimp and grits. The restaurant graciously removed that from our bill but still, it's not a great experience, especially for a celebratory meal. My kid got the double bacon cheeseburger. Unfortunately, the patties were pretty dry. I know this is not a burger place boat. Kids aren't going to go for some of the fancier dishes. So doing a dish like a cheeseburger well, should be really important. On the plus side the patties were quite large, but but large patties don't make up for a dry burger. I got the hash brown eggs benedict, and they were great. And the pepper sauce with the condiments is a really tasty addition to your typical hash brown potatoes. The staff was quite friendly and my previous experience was quite good. Hopefully, if this was an off day and they will learn from the mistakes and improve, I would still recommend it for the most part and hope that you get a better experience than…

Lara was awesome, sweet and helpful. I’m grateful for her kindness. On top of that food was Delish!

Unable to to get seated. Told 15-20 min, after waiting 15 min was told another 15 min. Tables were open the entire time. Food may be good, but couldn’t get a seat to find out.

It was our first time here because I have celiac disease so I can no longer eat gluten so finding restaurants that actually have a large gluten friendly menu is hard to find. I found this place on google and we came to try it. We came in and it was a 15 min wait which is fine with us. I could see there were empty tables but being that I worked in a restaurant I know why they wouldn’t want to over fill the dining area. No issue for us. We got sat and our waitress I want to say her name was Ashley, she had some blue in her hair but I hope that’s her name. She was awesome and so friendly and helpful. The gluten free pancakes weren’t the best but they weren’t terrible and I’m grateful they had them to begin with. Bacon was amazing and the potatoes with onions were excellent! My husbands cinnamon roll French toast was really good too. Overall we had a great experience. Will definitely be back!

Food was very good but service was not up to par. Long wait for service and for drinks a second round took long. Burger was great too waffles too

We were really looking forward to this restaurant. A friend of ours had told us about the bourbon pancakes and that we could get them gluten-friendly. Unfortunately, there were just a handful of people in the restaurant but took 45 minutes for our food to come out. I went to the restroom and there was no water on in the restroom. The toilet would not flush and I could not wash my hands. Not a great impression. My husband went to the men's restroom. Same experience. Our server was sweet. The restaurant was freezing cold. We may try it again. Maybe at a different location.

Have been going there since 2021 whenever we visit the Grandkids in Orlando (There isn't one on the Outer Banks of North Carolina). Food and service is great.
