What diners say — our read

Cleanliness comes up in 22% of the 23 reviews here, and the inspection record backs the worry up. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.1, so it reads as a strength. Tidiness is the next most common subject, in 22% of reviews (averaging 5.0).

If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (9 reviews). One subject never comes up here: freshness. Newer reviews score better than older ones (5.0 recent against 3.5 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average.

Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen an F (54/100), with 4 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 11 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. DBPR last walked in on February 3, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. On health score it sits safer than 2% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include food from approved source.

The practical read: people enjoy eating here, and the kitchen still failed its last inspection. Those are separate claims, and only the second one gets checked by anybody. Everything above is computed from the 23 reviews reproduced below.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Would definitely choose this Hotel again!

  • June 29, 2026

I stayed here for work on a Tuesday. Kyle at the front desk nicely upgraded my room for becoming a rewards member. The king suite was fantastic and the room was very quiet and clean. The exact location isn't super walkable, but the shuttle service was the ready.

Awesome stay! What really made the experience stand out, though, was Kyle at the front desk. He made us feel genuinely welcome from the moment we walked in. His friendly, professional service set the tone for a wonderful stay.

Had a great stay - highly recommend! Kyle at the front desk was especially helpful!

We stayed at the resort and when booking we’re told all our fees were paid. We get to the resort and they hit us with another 100 fee which is refunded from my understanding as long as you leave the room in good condition. The rooms were okay the fridge was not meant to be put in the cabinet so it kept hitting the doors making it hard to open there was minor cosmetic things that can be updated but besides that the hotel itself was very nice and in a great location. I just wish they were upfront on how much you’re really paying.

Hotel is a decent one. Nothing fancy like you would expect from Crowne Plaza, which I have stayed in before. The TV in rooms are old school, I know who wants to watch TV in hotel, but believe me we do. They should definitely upgrade them to smart ones. Breakfast was great, had wide selection and the server was very friendly.

We booked this room after a last minute reservation cancelation at another hotel. We are so glad we got to stay here instead. The entire experience was great from check in to check out. We will definitely return to this or other Crowne Plaza locations for future stays.

Everything pretty much perfect, clean, room and bed comfort was great.

  • June 15, 2026

good, would recommend however some issues with the drainage for the shower. it would leak towards the bedroom and we would have to make a barrier with towels to keep it from damaging the carpet

Great location! Fair prices! Amazing staff! Rooms are pristine!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! We were attending an event at Kia Center. The hotel is in close proximity to the Center.. easy walk. Shamara welcomed us to the hotel. She was so friendly & welcoming! Our room was very spacious & clean. All staff that we encountered were very friendly. Highly recommend a stay here!

My family and I had a great stay. The rooms were clean, beds AND pillows were comfortable, and the restaurant staff were perfect and personable.

We are staying here two nights. Our son is going to concert. We ate dinner in the restaurant and Gaby was our server. She was wonderful. So welcoming and friendly and great service.

Power went out and couldn’t check in. Booked a room with a kitchen on Expedia but was advertised wrong. Was upgraded due to blackout.

We booked the Crowne Plaza by IHG via booking.com, anticipating professionalism and easy-going stay. The hotel refused to provide us with an invoice for our stay, claiming that it is booking.com who should provide us the invoice. We escalated this further, requested the invoice from the hotel via several channels, and were not provided with it at all. This is all despite the fact that the hotel undertook to comply with booking.com Terms and Conditions, which clearly stipulate the obligation of any hotel to provide the customer with an invoice. This happened to us for the first time, I believe that this is not standard at all, and sharing this, so other customers are not faulted the same way we were.

The staff was absolutely a delight and the hotel was amazing, comfy beds and pillows! Will definitely stay again!

I was very disappointed with my experience at Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown before I even checked in. My party and I arrived around noon because I had a few questions before check-in. The lobby was empty, and there were two employees at the front desk. One employee greeted me, but before I could ask my question or provide any information, another employee, interrupted and hastily stated "Check-in is at 3:00 p.m. We are not doing early check-in until then." What was frustrating was that she never asked for my name, reservation details, or what I needed assistance with. She simply assumed why I was there and dismissed me before giving me the opportunity to speak. Feeling unwelcome and unheard, I turned around and left the lobby. As I walked away, she called out, "If there is anything you need, let us know," but after the interaction I had just experienced, the comment felt insincere. Good customer service starts with listening, and unfortunately, that did not happen here. Every guest deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect, regardless of whether they are checking in, asking a question, or simply seeking assistance. First impressions matter, and this interaction left a very negative impression of the hotel. I hope management addresses this issue so future guests do not experience the same lack of professionalism and attentiveness. Some additional drawbacks we experienced included the WiFi being down, which prevented us from connecting, and a few of the elevators not…

Lots of homeless people around for location. Service is good here 👌. Breakfast is expensive here 😫

I highly recommend Crowne Plaza downtown Orlando for business travel. I stayed at this hotel for a business conference and from the moment I pulled in to valet my vehicle until my check out the staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. If you are looking for a place to host a small to mid-size conference, I would recommend this facility. The room setup and catering options were excellent. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating to all special request.

I stayed with my girlfriend and our son at The Crown Plaza Hotel for a concert at the Kia Center in Downtown Orlando, and we had an amazing time! The hotel is gorgeous and our room was spacious and well maintained! The staff was very cordial and made us feel welcomed. We ate at the Bite Bistro and the food was incredible, I highly recommend the Ribeye Steak! The pool and spa area was clean and relaxing. We look forward to our next stay at The Crown Plaza Hotel!

Lisa at the front desk was very very nice and friendly. She took her to tell me about all the amenities, she even walked me around the lobby to show me the outdoor amenities. She really enjoys her job greeting the guest and not just scripted.
