DEL FRISCO'S DOUBLE EAGLE STEAK HOUSE
The crowd and the inspector disagree about DEL FRISCO'S DOUBLE EAGLE STEAK HOUSE, and it isn't close: 2,946 reviewers settle on 4.5 stars, while its latest health inspection lands at a D, 63/100.
That D comes from 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 7 basic violations cited on April 20, 2026. It currently ranks safer than 5% of Orange County restaurants we grade — close to the bottom of the county. And the direction isn't reassuring: its recent inspections have been sliding, not recovering. Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners rate this place well. The inspector did not. How guests are treated tends to be raised approvingly here, averaging 4.8 stars.
Of the 21 rated reviews, 18 sit at four stars or better and 2 at two or below. Conspicuously absent: cleanliness, which no reviewer brings up. 5 stars is the modal score, given by 17 of the 21 reviewers who rated.
Set against that, the state's own inspection graded the kitchen a D (63/100), with 3 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 7 basic violations recorded. Reviews describe the meal; the grade describes the conditions it was made in. That inspection was on April 20, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. That puts it ahead of 5% of graded kitchens in Orange County. Among the items recorded were food from approved source and cross-contamination.
What to do with that is a judgement call — the reviews describe the experience, the grade describes the conditions behind it. Everything above is computed from the 21 reviews reproduced below.

Great steak, delicious sides and a nice upscale atmosphere

Just not impressed for the price point. Food was mediocre at best. Came out luke warm. I don't often go out to dinner with my 3 adult kids due to hard for all of us to get together, so did not voice anything to restaurant and just enjoyed seeing them, but wont be back. I would chose Ruth's Chris, Ocean Prime or even Outback over Del Frisco's.

My wife and I were very happy with the whole experience. Food was on point and the waiter was knowledgeable on wines 🍷. We'll be back again

We hosted a private happy hour event last night, and James and Amanda were absolutely fantastic. From start to finish, they were friendly, attentive, professional and genuinely pleasant to work with. They handled our group with ease, stayed on top of food and drink service, and made sure everyone felt taken care of throughout the evening. Even during busy moments, they remained calm, organized and incredibly kind. Their positive attitudes and attention to detail played a huge role in making our event a success. Thank you, James and Amanda, for helping create such a memorable experience for our guests. We truly appreciated your hard work and hospitality and would be thrilled to work with you again in the future!

The service was indescribable! Jean Pierre was AWESOME! Steak was tender and juicy with truffle butter sauce. Fantastic time. Ask for a more private section if you want it quieter. Definitely recommend. Steak ! Blue cheese wedge salad! Butter cake!

We had about 50 people in our party and had an amazing event. Debbi and her entire team were fantastic. Food And Service was absolutely perfect.

Food was good, had the salmon dish with the spinach, which paired up nicely. Service was ok, our food took about 45 min. We were in the restaurant for about 2.5 hours, which was just too long since we had an itinerary to follow. Also our server was also not the nicest, it broke my heart when he raised his tone to another colleague when the plates were being brought out. In an high and rude tone he told him why hadn’t all the plates been brought out at the same time, the poor man with the large plate was already full of dishes. Any person that saw him would’ve noticed. Atmosphere was very elegant. My overall experience was ok, not sure if I’d go back for the food or service.

The food was excellent. I have to point out that even though the restaurant was fully packed; the service was great and Tiffany was very attentive throughout.
-
Absolutely delicious food, beautiful restaurant and wonderful service. The steaks were perfect! The creamed corn was recommend by our waiter and we loved it. The butter cake was to die for...highly recommend! We were celebrating my birthday so they brought out cheesecake and a card too! Throughly enjoyed our first time here!

Just dined here for the first time and we were thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious, from the Del's Salad to the cheesecake to boot. The service was incredible. Succinctly smooth. Overall, we enjoyed our time in this space and would love to dine here again next time we are in town.

All I can say is absolutely amazing. The servers we impeccable and always kept our table cleared of any empty dishes. Our server recommended the perfect wine for my meal. The food was Devine. I had the double bone pork chop, medium. The temperature and cut were excellent, as well as, the amazing flavor. The atmosphere was very nice. You could here the other guests, but conversation at our table was very easily heard and enjoyable.

A very special place with an awesome food and service. I would love to come back again. The premium cuts are recommended

The steak was cooked to perfection!

My wife and I were in town for vacation and decided to try Del Frisco’s based on reviews and it didn’t disappoint. I had the dry aged ribeye and my wife had the oysters Rockefeller. Both were delicious. My steak was cooked perfectly. Carrie, our server, was sweet and very attentive. We based our dinner choices on her recommendations. We would definitely recommend visiting this establishment.

This is my favorite restaurant in Orlando and it's not attached to any resort. Feels local, experience is just as good as any high end resort restaurant.

We had an amazing experience. Food was excellent and service was SUPERB. Mattias was an incredible server and gave great advice to our large party. Very grateful to him. Bar tender was very kind as well as we waited for our table, she was very lovely. Mattias is awesome though.

An interesting situation occurred with my experience today for my sister's graduation. I left my car unlocked while dining at the restaurant. I found a random set of house keys in my car when I returned home. They didn't belong to me My wife and I were very perplexed so we called the restaurant, in doing so whomever I spoke with asked if we could bring said keys back to the restaurant. Or offered to have somebody drive and retrieve them. So I drove them back to the restaurant 35 minutes away. I was then handed a business card and a handshake and was told they want to do something nice for me.. in retrospect this leaves the ball in my court to reach out and ask for some kind of compensation this is absolutely ridiculous. I didn't even valet!

This is definitely my favorite restaurant. The Rockefeller plaza location has been the favorite but I live closer to the Orlando location. Kyle and David have excellent customer service and certainly make the experience worth it.

Steaks were cooked perfectly, Jailbird drink was amazing and the butter cake at the end was absolutely delicious.

Amazing food. Brilliant service.

We had a great time at Del Frisco’s! We were a large group of 12 and the service was top-notch. Our waiter was excellent—attentive, friendly, and did a great job managing a table of our size. The food overall was amazing. We started with the crab cakes, shrimp cocktails, and the veal meatballs, which were excellent. For the mains, everyone loved their steaks, and the sides—especially the mashed potatoes, mushrooms, and creamed spinach—were all delicious. We finished with desserts, and the butter cake and the beignets were really good. I’m only knocking my rating down slightly because a few things missed the mark. We were enjoying a specific wine and ordered two bottles, but when we went to order a third, they had run out. Having to switch wines mid-dinner isn't ideal. Additionally, I ordered an Espresso Martini, but their in-house version contains hazelnut and was much too sweet for what I was looking for. I also had the salmon, and it just wasn't 100% to my liking compared to the rest of the meal. Overall, it was a fantastic evening and a solid spot for a big group.
