The split is 20 positive to 4 negative across 24 rated reviews. The single most common rating left here is 5 stars (16 of 24). A third strand, how much food arrives, appears in 17% of them at 3.5 stars.

The kitchen graded a B (86/100) on 1 high-priority, 1 intermediate, and 3 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. I really enjoyed my iced Matcha and the atmosphere is super cute

  • June 30, 2026

Stopped in yesterday for the first time and got the Honeycomb Matcha and it was amazing! The matcha is so smooth and the honeycomb gave the perfect sweetness!

  • June 28, 2026

Matcha was too sweet, not authentic Japanese matcha. Hojicha frappe was good.

    Amazing!!

Matcha Cafe Maiko is a specialty matcha café focused entirely around Japanese-style matcha desserts and drinks. The space has a cute and welcoming café atmosphere that fits the theme well, with a menu built around showcasing matcha in different forms rather than treating it as just another flavor option. Seating is limited, so it can get crowded during busy times, but the smaller setup works for a quick dessert stop or grabbing a drink to enjoy nearby. The main reason to visit is the matcha soft serve and dessert selection. The matcha flavor is noticeably rich and earthy, with a stronger tea profile compared to many sweeter matcha desserts. The soft serve has a smooth, creamy texture and works especially well in combinations like matcha shaved ice, floats, or parfait-style creations. The matcha shaved ice stands out with layers of shaved ice, matcha soft serve, red bean, mochi, and Japanese chestnuts, creating a dessert that has different textures in every bite. The drink menu gives plenty of ways to experience matcha, from hot and iced matcha drinks to floats and specialty creations. Options like matcha with ube, matcha lattes with foam, and hojicha drinks add variety for anyone who wants something beyond traditional matcha. The café also offers coffee options, which makes it easier for groups with different preferences. Beyond matcha, the menu includes other Japanese-inspired desserts like taiyaki, mochi-based items, and seasonal offerings. The combination of traditional…

Amazing matcha and ube soft serve!

The cafe itself is rather small. It felt more like a restaurant with how loud and disruptive it was inside. We came at a not so busy time. The workers were too distracted having a conversation amongst themselves and got my order wrong. Not so great if someone has specific food allergies. The taiyaki was good. I cant comment on the matcha itself since they gave me a different drink than I ordered and it was 90% filled with additives. We are likely not visiting again

    Best match in central Orlando

  • June 12, 2026

The strawberry matcha latte was very good!

  • June 7, 2026

This place gets pretty busy but if you love matcha this is a must visit. They have many versions and ways to try matcha from hot to iced, floats, and soft serves. They also offer coffee here which is a plus. Banana pudding matcha is popular in California so I wanted to try it. It is quite literally a banana pudding slapped on top of the iced matcha but it didn't disappoint. Price might have been a little high - almost $9 for a medium.

BEST place in Orlando for matcha. Hands down. Employees there were SUPER nice and helpful and the place is super cute. And to top it all off? AWESOME MATCHA and not some lime green bs…A nice dark green color, just like it should be, and for a decent price too! Come here! Do it!

I’m a huge matcha fan so of course we had to come here. Delicious matcha ice cream with boba

My experience at cafe maiko was great. Great ube soft serve and matcha drinks. Service was also amazing. Nicole, the one who took my order was very sweet.

  • May 27, 2026

I ordered my usual matcha with light ice, but the cup came out literally around 1/3 empty. I mentioned it politely because I always order it this way and it’s normally much more filled. Instead of trying to fix it, the employee responded rudely and kept arguing with me about the ice. Mistakes happen, but the attitude and customer service were really disappointing. I never took a sip or tried the ice cream in the picture by the way.

Great ceremonial matcha served with a smile!

The pistachio matcha latte with a Nutella stuffed taiyaki. Perfect blend!

  • May 25, 2026

Best matcha in orlando, methinks Only hojicha in orlando, perchance

  • May 22, 2026

Quick stop in for a bite and drink. Amazing staff facility is a bit small and timing is crucial if you want to chill and talk . Quality drinks

    Outstanding service and delicious matcha…

  • May 16, 2026

The coolest Matcha cafe!! So many options of different matcha treats here, and the little store itself is super cute. Located in the Mills area, this entire area is great for quick cute eats. It can get super crowded in here, though. Weekends will be packed but worth a try!!

  • May 16, 2026

Awful. Just awful. It was our first time visiting and the person at the register could not explain any drink to us so we ended ordering a drink he said was “earthy” and it tasted like rotten seaweed. When we told them and asked if they could redo it they wanted to charge us for a second drink!

  • May 15, 2026

This is by far my favorite café in the orlando area. The drinks are perfectly made, prices are reasonable—especially for the quality being produced—with this also being one of few cafés that has Hojicha.
