Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Diners raise cleanliness often enough to notice — and on this one the state inspector agrees with them. Reviews mentioning the staff average 3.5 stars, so it divides opinion rather than settling it. After that, how long an order takes appears most often — 39% of the corpus, averaging 4.7.
The corpus runs from Jun 2025 through May 2026 — not a single moment in time. More reviewers landed on 5 stars than any other score — 15 of 23. Behind those, whether food comes out hot is raised in 30% of reviews (4.7 average). 16 of 23 rated reviews are four stars or higher; 5 are two or lower.
Notably, 17% of reviews here already touch on cleanliness — and the inspection agrees, grading the kitchen a D (62/100) on 2 high-priority, 4 intermediate, and 7 basic violations. Diners were picking up on something real. That result dates from May 15, 2026. Its inspection trajectory is downward over the records we hold. That puts it ahead of 5% of graded kitchens in Orange County. What the inspector actually wrote up: cross-contamination.
Both halves of this page point the same unflattering way, which at least makes it simple. Full reviews follow below in the order they were left.

My best friend and I were doing a Orlando Science Center event and decided to drive around to grab a meal beforehand. Several places were really packed so we kept driving till we went down Corrine drive and found a parking spot at the strip mall where Sushi Lola was. The spaces were crazy packed. We walked in and stood at the door, waiting for a good bit as the three servers handling a busy bunch of eaters, taking orders, bringing out plates, etc. Finally one of the tables was cleared and we were seated, the elder male server took the chopsticks and the little soy sauce cup, adjusting it correctly when it was moved by me before handing us menus and heading off to do other things. A few minutes later, one of the ladies came by to take drinks orders and our food requests. I went simply with a fountain drink ($4), a fire dragon roll ($17) and TNT roll ($17). My best friend got the tuna tartar ($15) and crazy Japanese roll ($16). Her tartar was freaking spicy and so was one of mine - the one with the small shrimp and mini scallops kicked my mouth with heat. Dang. The service was good but you need to be patient since they are busy. Once our rolls were handed off they pretty much left us alone and it took a bit to get the bill but we received little plastic wrapped chocolate cookies as a treat. So nice! I want to try various other rolls from the vast selection.

The best food I have had in Orlando, amazing quality. Everything was delicious and well cooked, the server answered multiple questions I had about the menu. The sushi was the best quality I’ve ever had, rolled to perfection. I would recommend this place to everyone. Parking is limited.

(My review from Yelp) This is a sad day. I’ve been coming here for years, I’ve recommended them to many people. I had my birthday party with 12 people here last year, but I will never be back after tonight. My mom, sister in law and I went at 8:30p at night for a sushi roll. We all ate dinner earlier and just wanted one sushi roll to end the night. We were going to order a Magic roll to split. She told us the kitchen was closing soon. Cool, we just wanted one sushi roll and they were sitting other people too. When I told her we were splitting a roll and just wanted that, she got mad “there’s an ordering minimum” what?! We weren’t very hungry and now the lady who claimed she was a manager had an attitude with us. This is awful! And when we sat down she said we’re good customers. I would come here almost once a week, at least twice a month! Your greed just cost you a customer!

[Sushi Lola forever] I can’t say enough about sushi Lola, this is a real neighborhood staple. Staff is always incredible, the array of cuisine available is impeccable. Come support a local favorite, they won’t let you down. Trust me!!

I had an excellent experience at Sushi Lola's where we had the Chicken Gyoza steamed, Philly Roll and Unbeliebable Roll as well as a Beef Bibimbap which was delicious. I highly recommend you checking this place out for a great alternative Asian meal selection and very delicious sushi. It was fairly busy when we went for dinner but I believe truly worth the wait! 맛있는 음식

After shopping in this plaza, my friend, and I stumbled upon this place right on time for lunch well late lunch because they open at 4pm. We ended up grabbing a couple plates and shared which ended up being quite enough for both of us. We got their cucumber salad, which was absolutely refreshing. They were on the thinner side, but I liked it; season very well for sure. Then we went onto get the dumplings and the Gyoza also very well cooked. And then last, but not least we had some shrimp fried rice. There was only like four pieces of shrimp, but with the amount of other food that we had ordered, it was enough for the both of us. We are taken care of quickly, and the food was very fresh.

I had such a fantastic dinner experience at Sushi Lola's last night. Every dish, every drink, and every dessert I tried was delicious and cooked (if cooked - many of the raw dishes were my favorites, of course) perfectly. I highly recommend the peach soju and the sora rolls. The restaurant is a smaller space, but has great ambiance and is exceptionally clean and classy. The staff is so attentive and polite. I have already personally recommended Sushi Lola's to several of my close friends and family members and can't wait to visit again soon!

Excellent service, wait staff was incredibly attentive. All food was prepared very quickly and everything was delicious

Sushi Lola’s is exactly the kind of local spot I love - cool vibes, fresh sushi, and solid service every time. The rolls are consistently great, well‑crafted, and full of flavor. The atmosphere hits right: chill, lively, and perfect for a night out. Whether you’re grabbing dinner alone or rolling in with friends, this place delivers on food and vibe. Definitely one of my favorite go‑to spots for sushi.

Cute shop worth stopping by. Amazing sushi menu with over 50+ roll options, Bento boxes and full course meals. Got the wednesday morning roll, playboy roll and tnt roll. All three were hits. My husband said the fried rice was great too. Service was friendly and fast. Had 2 sushi chefs on kitchen. Recommend checking out !
-
Good sushi, although we wished they had something similar to a Super Volcano Roll. Please is clean, and food is served in a timely manner.

We called ahead and ordered to go on a Wednesday. It was ready and waiting when they said it would be. The food was Fresh, my favorite was the Zombie roll and the yellow tail appetizer. We even got a surprise cookie ;)

I finally went to sushi Lola’s after a friend had recommended to me about a year ago & I was really disappointed. I thoroughly love sushi & upon entry at 4:25pm I stood in an empty restaurant for 15 min before others stood with me and we were finally sat. The woman definitely had some attitude to other customers when seating them. I’m very forgiving but then I got my sushi and nigiri combo and it felt like the fish had been sitting out for some time. I have a strong stomach but I had to get up and spit it out in the bathroom. Luckily the happy hour deal was 2 for 1 beers bc I then washed out my mouth with some beer to help kill the taste. Sucks bc I do enjoy sushi, I would highly recommend totoya especially on mondays with their all day happy hour prices. Even Costco has better and fresher sashimi at a lower price

Service was poor. Missing orders and confusion. Portion of the food was small compared to the price. We did not find good customer service. Very small space for dining.
-
Waiter was confused and didn’t understand the order properly. The waiter who served the food was leaning and talking very close to the food which we didn’t like at all. We didn’t like the overall service. The place was very congested and very little room between us and other guests. Had to adjust seat multiple times just to seat comfortably. The taste of the food was ok but could be better.
-
The rolls we had were fantastically unique, and the flavor was beyond delicious with how fresh everything was. (Sorry about the lack of pictures, that's how good 😅) The customer service was professional, attentive, and kind. They certainly went above and beyond. 💜

There are so many sushi restaurants in Orlando not to mention so many high-end/boutique, sushi restaurants. This place smokes them all! Family run business with amazing fish and ambience. Such a low-key non-pretentious establishment. By far my favorite sushi restaurant in Orlando. Amazing chef and the Owner’s mom makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. Skip Kabooki, Kadence, Tori Tori and Sushi Pop and head here you won’t be disappointed!! love love love! 🙏🎌💙

Terrible customer service and food was tiny proportions. The prices are over rated for what you get. Do your self a favor and go elsewhere. The owner or manager had such an awful attitude for no reason and we were being polite about an issue that THEY created. How awful to have to deal with this type of energy for paying so much.

The spicy Krab roll was good but the deep fried cheesecake was still frozen lol. Staff has really bad issues with personal space. I had asked the price of the cheesecake since it wasn't on the menu and the waitor didn't know. As he was talking he kept getting closer and I was sitting in a chair right next to the wall. He reached over me to try and grab some dirty napkins on my table so i wuite literally couldn't move without touching him (wound up accidentally stepping on his foot cuz i was trying to stand to ask someone else) Had the same issue with the waitres who took our order, she stood extremely close to my friend and I to the point where we were leaning away. I understand they're just doing their jobs but it made me uncomfortable. I don't think it was intentional at all really I just don't like anyone in my bubble especially when i get boxed in against a wall.

They take a long time and they are rude

Sooo good!
-
Wonderful staff, funny and kind. The sushi is very good and so is the miso. Highly recommend
-
A no-frills atmosphere, but the food is always delicious. The lava dips are perfectly crispy on the outside with plenty of crab on the inside. The portions are appropriately sized. The options in the photos fed two and had some leftovers for later. If we hadn't had another stop we might have been able to power through.
