Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
Reviews here split hard: 9 five-star against 4 one-star, with little in between. Where service comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength. Tidiness is the next most common subject, in 20% of reviews (averaging 3.7).
Plate size shows up in 16% of reviews as well, averaging 3.0. Older reviews score better than newer ones (2.8 recent against 3.2 earlier), so direction is worth weighing alongside the average. If you had to pick one number to represent this corpus it would be 5, the most frequently given rating (9 reviews).
The kitchen graded a C (77/100) on 2 high-priority, 2 intermediate, and 1 basic violations at its last inspection, which is roughly where the reviews sit too. DBPR last walked in on June 3, 2026. The trend across inspections is decline. On health score it sits safer than 15% of the Orange County restaurants we grade. The citations behind that grade include wiping cloths and food-contact surfaces clean and sanitized.
Neither signal is decisive on its own here, which is why both are shown. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

Hotel is nice, but please be where they charge $35 a day for parking. Like why am I paying 600$ for 3 nights and then I have to pay 35$ a DAY FOR PARKING. I will never stay here again

30 Dollars a Day Parking. Insane. Private parking at a hotel, is a SCAM. The Marriott was OK, rooms were decent, the bottom floor is 6ft high, so thats not ideal. Looks like your going into that scary movie Backrooms. Breakfast is overpriced... At least they have a Starbucks. Save your money go somewhere else. Cheap rooms for a reason

I stay at Marriott properties frequently throughout the country, and I can confidently say that the staff at this location truly stand out. Their commitment to hospitality made my stay exceptional from start to finish. A special thank you to Quiana, the manager, whose kindness and professionalism left a lasting impression. I would also like to recognize Aaliyah in the café, who greeted me each morning with a smile and a wonderful attitude, making every day start on a positive note. Jonathan Chapman, consistently prepared my coffee perfectly and provided excellent service throughout my stay. The entire team contributed to a welcoming and enjoyable experience, and I greatly appreciated their dedication to guest satisfaction. My only suggestion for improvement would be to expand the breakfast options for guests with gluten-free dietary needs. Many Marriott properties offer gluten-free muffins or similar items, and having those available here would make an already outstanding experience even better. Overall, I had a fantastic stay and would gladly return. Thank you to the entire team for making my visit so memorable.

As a loyal Marriott Bonvoy member, I have stayed at countless Courtyard properties over the years, but this one is the worst. This location seems like lack of proper management and maintenance. The light switches felt loose and poorly installed. Even worse, the lighting was completely mismatched—some bulbs are with white light while others were warm, making the room feel pieced together. The hallways and stairwells were incredibly dim. Combined with their deep blue walls, the entire property felt dark. Finding drinking water was a hassle. There was no water station easily accessible to guests except for a single water dispenser hidden inside the first-floor gym. Otherwise, your only option was to purchase overpriced bottles at the market. And I found two little bugs on the desk of the room. On top of the poor property condition, Marriott’s recent benefit cuts have made things even more frustrating. I pay a high annual fee for my premium Marriott credit card, expecting promised perks like reliable breakfast and waived parking. Instead, free breakfast has been completely replaced by a dining credit—which has now been slashed from $20 to just $10 a day per room, and parking is no longer waived, thinking switching to other hotel brands. This is the worst courtyard I have ever stayed, totally not recommended. There are plenty of same tier hotels nearby, no need to stay in this one just because the location. BTW, even they have the shuttle to Universal, the schedule is a bit…

Excelente servicio gracias a Fabiana!

We had a great stay and would absolutely stay here again. From the moment we pulled up, the hotel looked clean, modern, and well-maintained. We were greeted upon arrival, and the front desk staff was friendly and efficient, making check-in quick and easy. The lobby is beautiful and creates a great first impression. Our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of room to spread out our belongings. The bathroom had limited sink space, but it wasn't an issue because there was plenty of other space in the room for toiletries and personal items. The hotel offers a complimentary shuttle to Universal, and all the details and schedules were provided during check-in, which made transportation simple and convenient. Every employee we interacted with throughout our stay was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My only minor critique would be that the shower pressure was a little low, but it still worked perfectly fine. On the plus side, I absolutely loved the complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided in the room. Overall, this was an excellent stay. The hotel was clean, comfortable, convenient, and staffed by wonderful people. I would definitely recommend it to others and would not hesitate to stay here again.

While the stay at the Courtyard by Marriott across from Universal set the standard for cleanliness and the benefits of a great location near the parks. This review is specifically for the amazing service provided to myself and my family by Kelly T. at the front desk. Following a long travel day, Kelly was effective, efficient and responsive to our questions and concerns during and after check-in. She began the process by checking us in with a warm smile and a calm demeanor that continued throughout our interaction. We have loved our stay at this hotel, but it was only made better by the start by Kelly!

Stayed here for a business trip last weekend. 5 star service, beginning with Quiana at the front desk. Very professional and helpful with everything I needed. Definitely will be back!

My wife & I arrived after midnight for a last‑minute check‑in, and the staff still greeted me warmly and got me settled right away. The access doors from the parking area were well located, which made getting inside with my bags very easy, and there were plenty of luggage carts available. The room was clean, comfortable, and ready for a late arrival, which I really appreciated after a long day. The shared spaces — including the lobby and hallways — felt clean, calm, and well maintained. Even at that hour, everything was quiet, well lit, and easy to navigate. Overall, it was a smooth and convenient stay from start to finish, and I’d definitely stay here again.

If you’re coming here for a conference from in town, be prepared to pay $30 for parking! Claudia was very helpful though…

We came to the courtyard on I drive Orlando. It was my daughter’s 6th b day. We were so happy to be able to check in early. We went to one of the water parks and returned late in the afternoon. We were surprised to find a b day package all set up in the room for her. Carly and Mary that worked there really made it so special for us. Thank you guys!

The front desk customer service was awesome my family was taken care by Quiana Williams super professional & friendly. She definitely put a smile on my face by just checking us in. We are the Ortiz family. After getting our rooms my husband ( Jorge Ortiz ) & I. Went down to the bar for a drink & I really enjoyed the atmosphere & the Paloma drink was delicious made by Jovan (bartender) extremely nice. Made our night with awesome drinks & making the ambience stress free. Definitely come & see these 2 folks. We were very satisfied with our weekend stay.

Great hotel very near the Universal attraction. Paid & Valet parking. Has couple of restaurants on premises. Big shoutout to Sabrina A for making the stay & the welcome gift with a note plus fruit platter.

From my check in at the Front desk with Yomary who was excellent at welcoming me and giving me insight as to the numerous places to eat , drink and party answering any questions i had, to the staff at the bar who always had a smile , i was bery happy about choosing this Marriott location. My window view , looking at part of Universal studios was an extra bonus. I would def recommend.

Stayed here as part of a TUI package holiday with my family and have mixed feelings about this hotel.||What was good:|- The location is definitely one of the strongest aspects. Being close to Universal and having views towards the parks was great.|- The shuttle service was convenient.|- The rooms are very spacious, especially for a family of four.|- Our room was clean overall.|- Considering the location, the price-performance ratio seemed acceptable.||What was less positive:|- Service was disappointing and felt rather distant. Staff interactions throughout the stay came across as very reserved and not particularly welcoming.|- The room itself was large, but the hotel already shows signs of age. In our bathroom there were visible traces that appeared to have been covered with paint, which did not create a particularly high-quality impression.|- Housekeeping felt inconsistent. I had the impression that service quality varied noticeably.||Unfortunately, the biggest issue only started after our stay:||At check-out we were told everything was settled and that there were no outstanding charges. However, after returning home I discovered that EUR 661.53 had been charged to my credit card, despite my stay being part of a prepaid TUI package.||This led to multiple emails, phone calls and considerable effort on my side. During discussions with the hotel I was informed that there may have been issues related to a transition from Holiday Inn to Marriott and that payment records may not…

Truly had an amazing experience here especially thanks to Fabiana ! She helped us find the perfect room and gave us such great recommendations! We will definitely be coming back !

Housekeeping never came to clean our room, so we brought it up at checkout and the employees 100% didn’t care. Didn’t offer any compensation or anything to make it right. Tried calling later to talk to a manager, it’s been over 24 hours of me trying to reach one and they either hang up or the front desk tells me they’re “in a meeting.” I am a gold member of Marriott, this is embarrassing and unacceptable.
