Community Rating
Reviews via GoogleWhat diners say — our read
This listing's ratings cluster at the two ends of the scale. Where how guests are treated comes up, the rating that follows averages 4.3, so it reads as a strength.
5 stars is the modal score, given by 12 of the 17 reviewers who rated. The split is 13 positive to 4 negative across 17 rated reviews.
The inspection record is the harder read. DBPR graded this kitchen a D (60/100) on 2 high-priority, 5 intermediate, and 9 basic violations — a verdict the review average does not reflect. That inspection was on February 20, 2026. Across its inspection history the kitchen is declining, which argues for reading the older reviews with caution. Ranked against Orange County, it is safer than 4% of the restaurants we score. Among the items recorded were cross-contamination and in-use food dispensing utensils properly stored.
Taken together, this is a place diners like and inspectors do not. A good meal and a clean kitchen are different questions. Read the originals below and judge the pattern yourself.

The freshness and taste of their food ia very consistent. This place is our go to restaurant. I love the sushi-sashimi combo and hamachi kama. The best! Service is topnotch. Very friendly servers and accomodating.

We absolutely love this place! The staff is accommodating, and the food quality is consistently great. My favorites are their lunch specials. I particularly enjoy the sushi sashimi combo with a ginger salad. Definitely recommend.

I love Maki! The ambiance is modern, elegant, and super inviting. The food is outstanding always fresh, flavorful sushi and perfectly cooked hibachi dishes with delicious fried rice. Everything is beautifully presented. I can’t stop dreaming about their Poke, Mango Tango, and Sexy Lobster roll, they were perfect and absolutely delicious! The service is exceptional. Linda and Kenzo at the front were amazing, and our server Mya was super friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. If you’re in Orlando, this place is a must go. Highly highly recommended! 10/10!

DO NOT ORDER DELIVERY from here. The food is okay (just average cheap sushi), but delivery times (even within 3-4 miles) end up being 1+ hours (I just waited 1 hour and 45 minutes for my order, was supposed to only take 45 mins)

I am writing to express my disappointment with the service today. I went to your restaurant with my daughter for lunch but ended up leaving. We waited for 15 minutes and no server ever approached our table, not even to greet us. Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were attended to immediately. I don't understand the reason for this lack of attention. I was starving, and it honestly ruined my day. I just got up and left, and I doubt anyone even noticed we were gone.

The food was great but the Mio sparkling sake was a hit and the server ( Thu M ) have great recommendation.

My biggest complaint is this place NEVER answers the phone. Posting a review in hopes they fix it!
